Some silver players have been commenting about how recently he lost multiple games and are using it to say the pick is bad. (calling them silver players might be a bit too generous actually) "BUT CHIME HE HAS A 30% WINRATE ON HIS SMURF!!"(8 games total btw...) If going 2-6 in 1 day proves that a player is bad - you might have just discovered the holy grail of LoL. More likely - this doesnt mean shit because after winning the 9th game his winrate went up by 8% - showing how stupid it is to use it as a metric. Go on any challenger stream and a bad day can show these stats - if you use ONLY THE STAT as a judge you are pretty much always wrong. IF someone has a 30% winrate in 100 games - the pick probably sucks. If someone has 100s of games played and is master, unsurprisingly those stats are very useful and show the pick could be viable - time to watch and analyse, still not just use the stats. Also you forget that I interviewed this guy and watched 25 of his replays to analyse the pick, the winrate literally doesnt mater if we can learn something from him. You learn WAY more in losses than in victories. EDIT - He is now at 50% winrate now after 1 extra day of games, again proving the stat is so easy to change haha.

sylas takes advantages like this only if the enrmy builds ad and the ult has insane ap ratios. the only ones i can think of are irelia ashe and trundle, there probably is someone else, but i dont think it is as impactful as it should be

@@theterron7857 There is a lot more. A lot of tanks have high AP ratios but never build any AP, Ornn ultimate, Leona ultimate, Blitz ult, Malphite ult, the list goes on. Hecarim's ult has AP scaling as well, its pretty insane on Sylas.

He transforms AD ratios into AP ratios too, and I belive it takes both ratios when is mixt like Miss Fortune's R (1000% AD + 200% AP). It might be just taking the highest one but I swear he hits harder even when his AP is equal to the MF AD.

The problem with alistar ult is it is nothing like it used to be due to all the true damage in the game. That 75% damage reduction does not apply to true damage, and between all the ignites, % health, and true damage running around league it feels like maybe 30% at most.

Yea I'm totally gonna try this. I can't believe I haven't before. There are some champs I refused to play pole Yasuo and Sylas a few years ago cos the design philosophy was so wildly different to anything before them, but now it's kind of the standard I am picking up these champs. I was thinking about Sylas and this seems like a fun option. Take a different support ult every game. I don't think you could do much better than Glasc's ult. I think that is low-key the most busted ability in the game. Turns a 5v5 into. 5v1v1v1v1v1, and guess who wins that fight 99.9% of the time

They removed that rune for a couple years but now they've got first strike so I've been trying it again. Great success so far. Haven't even lost lane yet.

im a sylas main and i think u forgot something really important if u use this pick against 1/2+ tanks (depends on how fed they are i guess) get ionian boots so u can fight for longer with more w heals e cc and q slows + more ults i think sorc shoes are good if ur confident that u will land ur abilities and the enemy team can get bursted if not its probably not the best choice if u dont need the cc from everfrost like ur teammates have enough cc and u need damage get ludens its so good on sylas vs squishy champs its such a good assassin build thats so hard to counter play (unless they also have alot of cc but ur probably going to kill the high damage target)

In my personal experience with this pick as I love trying off-metas in normal before ranked (AS ANY PERSON SHOULD DO META OR OFF META) this is probably better if you have a duo, as a solo support I don't recommend it simply because if the adc doesn't follow up and continues to braindead farm when you try to lock them down for a kill you're basically dead meat when you get 2v1'd, one of my duos made this work very smoothly with Kalista but with randos he's way too squishy to deal with the damage you would receive if you get no followup

Sylas support is like Zoe support. However while Zoe is made stronger by how much bubbles her ADC let's her get, sylas is made stronger by his enemies ultimate. And there really isn't any support who has a bad ultimate. Even anivia's can be good certain times.

Sylas botlane always in my secret pick if I want to destroy enemy botlane as quick as possible. It's the most offensive support/carry pick for me (yes, I can play Sylas as carry as well), and It's can dominate from level 1 through entire game.

as Pantheon/Eve sup/Swain (early, mid, late game) main I would LOVE to try this cause he can scale pretty easily unlike Pantheon where until you are spear shoot you aren't gonna scale that good or unlike Evelynn bc eve is pretty situational and most of tanks fuk up your early game which means pretty much no mid or late game and swain? swain is late game and with new early game oriented champs... he just dont get stack cause DASHES so sylas is only one of those 4 that: scales easily, has good early mid and late game, has dashes so he can dodge or get to enemy. ty for showing me this GOLD

As a Sylas main you can play top, jungle, mid, and support. As the player said in the video that he hates mid because its a poke mid meta, I usually play Sylas mid even in this meta you can just max your Q if you are mid because holy sh*t the explosion damage is high and they usually thinks that you are maxing W and ignore the Q explosion and when they take the damage they will be confused on why they only have half an hp left and can go all in or max W against assassins like leblanc(I usually ban her because I max Q) to trade damage and heal if they buy the 800 gold counter(executioner's calling, oblivion orb) lvl up your W to 3 then Max Q. Max W if you are top if they buy the 800 gold counter continue to max it if you are against tanks you can also do this against fighters but make sure you out damage them before they out damage you(aatrox ult can help you gain damage on passive and heal. Singed ult can give you ap, armor, mr as well as mordekaiser make sure he ulted first then ult him to gain back what he stole but double). Max E or Q(depends if you want fast wave clear or mobility) when jungler. Max W on support because as HappyChimeNoises said you are the initiator and can bait enemies. animation bug: there is a bug that mess with your E2 animation if you cast E2 on the enemy then press Q the hook animation will go to the place where you press the Q while the E2 hook will shoot on where you cast it(effective in max range). some tips: if you steal some ones ult then decided not to fight use that ult if you can cast it without enemy because its a long cool down if you don't use it. Be careful on cho'gath's ult if you use it on an enemy but then you got fog of war the ult will disappear and its also a long cool down(sh*t bug). Never ever in gods name take an udyr, elise, jayce, nidalee ult. you can cast W, ult, any items(everfrost, rocketbelt) on E2. Alistar, Blitzcrack, malphite ult are the best ult you can ever have.

I suggest you try this on magic penetration Q max if you are below diamond. With electrocute or first strike. Just full glass cannon build. I main this as well and you really just snowball the game hard af. 3 one-shots in a row at 5 min (4th level) - one-shotted the enemy mid laner lvl 6 kata, then one-shotted jarvan who was clearing a ward at river, and then one-shotted vel'koz on botlane (3 kills in 58 seconds). You literally look for flashing into them at level 2 and try to poke with Q level 1. Ban lulu or morgana, pyke's ult is great but he has the power to match you in every aspect, so you are more like mirroring each other, which is annoying in my experience.

the heal on sylas w is the only thing in his kit imo that needs a nerf, ive faced a sylas that was level 5 and gained half of his health from 2 uses of w, one of which was through ignite so saying hes w heal is overpowered is an understatement, he and yuumi are the only champs ive seen heal from 10 hp to full off a single ability through ignite and other means of 60% grevious wounds which is why grevious wounds either needs a buff or their heals need a nerf

As a main support, I approve and like this, but as a main Support, I hate that this works. Btw Aftershock is such an underrated engage support rune. I use it with Pantheon, Mordekaiser and Kled, and it covers their weakness of being easy to kill. You don't really need damage runes with bruisers because you already have a high base damage, and this rune set helps you to make the engage longer and allow your adc to get the picks.
