So I have a 212 predator on my wood splitter. My modifications will be limited to some airbox mods to boost the flow and a chainsaw style "muffler mod" where I am opening up the internal baffles and drilling up the exit hole some. Nothing crazy. Now I know that due to the EPA these things are going to be jetted lean from the factory. So two questions.. 1. what is the factory main jet size 2. what would you recommend for increasing power ONLY around 3600-3800. Where I am hooked to a hydraulic pump this is the only RPM area I am concerned about.

Excellent representation that anyone can understand. My Quick Fuel 1050AN on my BBF engine has 4 circuits equipped. She's a nice runner I got for a great price. The cheaper, but parts sharing Proform model, has 3. Most of these little engines are designed to run at one speed all the time, usually 3600, pushing a generator head or mower blade. Not much need for extra complexity. The kart guys and mower racing guys need better than that.

I have a stock Honda GX160 engine, it has a so called performance carb. The thing is that it idles fine but when you rev it it pops which tells me that it runs lean. Any recommendations would be helpful, thanks.

That would be the main jet needing to be bigger.

im here to make dumbass comments before watching the video. i might have a real comment later cause this really interest me. i do many test and tunes. i like my stuff fat but not boggy. i like small intake and huge fat jets, great for torque, and i gear for that.
