I just bought a non-hemi predator 212, and the stock jet is labeled 73. I put a larger emulsion tube (forgot the size) in there and a size 78 main jet. Your jet numbering is different from mine, I wonder why? I haven't even started this engine yet. I want to see how it runs bone stock with the jetting change. It's going to be very cold outside for months, and I'm assuming these engines are jetted lean from the factory on purpose for less emissions & fuel consumption, so it should run really strong with a little extra fuel. We'll see.

It looks like yours are measure in millimeters while the .028 you see most people reference is in inches.

i have a pretty new 212 hemi and i put an omb stage 1 on it + .036 carb and now the engine pull start is kicking back when i start. It was starting up fine before. What do you recommend I do?

@@Leo-cp2fw just looked at their stage one kit and saw it came with valve springs. I’d be sure that your valve lash is in spec and that the push rods are still in their seat on the rocker arm.

My motor stutters at full throttle after upgrading the jet size. Should I go down or up?

I’d check the plug after a full throttle run and it may give you an indication whether you’re rich or lean. You could also just swap back to the smaller jet and see if it still does it.

Hey, I have a Honda gx200, went with a center exit exhaust, and an air filter like the one you have. I’m having run issues with the motor, bought the predator 212 jet kit for my carb (says it will work with a gx200) and I’ve tried lots of different combos, engine won’t run without choke, and blows black smoke as it’s really rich (Includes a GX140 emulsion tube and two jets: .036" and .037".) any ideas?

I usually run the stock emulsion tube. I’ve have always run a .032 with exhaust and intake on the predators. I tried try a factory emulsion tube first and try to clean the carb. I’ve had a few engines have issues with the fuel tank rusting inside causing clogging.

👍 .. So I brought a intake an exhaust for my buggy, once I've fitted these an a 32 jet, is it good to go or do you have to mess around with the mixture screw to compensate for the new jet?

It’s should be good to go as long as that size jet is enough for your setup. A 32 jet has worked for me with just intake and exhaust.

You can try to run a tap up in there to clean the threads up or just buy a replacement carb, they are like $12 on eBay

Where is it leaning from. From the bowl or from the intake? If it’s the bowl there is a gasket that often gets miss aligned that sits in a grove right above the bowl on the carb

Joshua Warren it’s leaking a bit from the bowl but also from the right of it where the gas lever is the little switch

@@SKATESPOTSWORLDWIDE I wondering if you've made the mixture to rich with the E tube and the jet which could be causing the fuel out the filter. I never had to change the E tube on any of my predators and haven't had any fueling issues. I get the bowl leak fixed first and see if anything else leaks after. What mods on the predator?

Joshua Warren just the stage 1 kit and I bought the e tube with the .035 jet bcuz it said it would help get me to my top speed faster, it’s not that it had to be replaced, I just wanted to mess with the fuel flow to get me sum small gains

I’d expect you have a leak somewhere. Make sure the gaskets are in good shape and aren’t leaking. Did you change the emulsion tube as well? What size jet did you go up to?

You can get them at Lowe’s or Home Depot usually in the electrical tools section. It’s called a cabinet tip screwdriver.

Yeah have to have a real skinny screw driver to get good engagement and the metal is pretty soft.
