Growing up in the 1950's, I remember there being a white 53-55 Corvette, less than a mile away. Not sure of year, I was just a kid, but bitten by the car bug already. My best friend back then had the bug too, and even though it meant a detour going to town, we would to see that Vette. It was just SO fascinating! Strange and exotic, like a rare beast, no one else had one. We would stare and peer over, under, around, in it. I'm glad the owner was a nice guy, putting up with us curious kids. The detour also took us past another odd one, a Hudson Jet. Not nearly the appeal of the Vette, but a oddball. The Vette got us primed to go hang out at the drive-in, and clock all the hot rods, great times! One of my high school friends inspects and validates cars for Barrett-Jackson. I envy y'all, such great jobs, have fun!

For how young April is, I'm blown away of her knowledge of old school automobiles. You guys should a road trip to Reno Nevada andCosta Mesa to check out 2 of the best Automobile museums. Tyler you might of visited Costa Mesa museum with your grandparents when it was named Briggs auto museum. It's now called Lloyds at the end of Baker Street in Costa Mesa. It's right next to John Wayne Airport former Orange County Airport. Briggs had a Remote Control car track in the parking lot. Had races every Sunday. They hosted 2 classes. 1/16 scale. I raced my RC car. It had a 0.49 motor. The other class was 1/8 scale. Those were the big boys cars. They hauled ass on that little track. Man great times in the 70's living in Costa Mesa. We also had a Motocross track at the End of Paulorino Street by the old Apollo drive thru theater. Suzuki had a motorcycle factory in Irvine. It was there test track. Kawasaki ended up taking over the location. They built the race bikes out of the warehouse.

I hate loving this show. No skips for this one either. just the right amount of time on each subject. No Neelix interruptions and watching the both of you talking about cars is great. Especially because I never expect April to be such an American Car Girl. She really love the GTx and I hope one day the buyer of that car gives you guys the opportunity to buy it from him or her. I don't think there is anyone else in the world who deserves that brand new Grand National than April.

Love you guys please tell me why Canadians can not watch the Barrett-Jackson anymore.I have been a car guy all my life and went to the Scottsdale auction in 2010.We used to watch it on Speed Vision,History,Discovery,Velocity now it's on FYI which we can not get in Vancouver Canada.Please tell Craig Jackson there are lots of car guys in Canada and want to watch the auction properly with all you guys doing the play by play.Watching it on the computer is not the same.Please Please help us.Also thinking about Steve Magnante and wishing him well.

I went to Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2012 it was awesome besides I was going through cancer treatment for first time at the same time I had chemo day before I flew down. There was one of your coveted Mercedes there that year as well. I took a lot of photos around 650 photos on my Facebook. I still have all the books and the sweater I bought.

April I have a model in the box I never assembled that Revell released of the first mid engine Corvette. They built 3 prototypes. It looked like the Ford Pantera. They crushed everyone of them. I question what this model is worth? I'm so glad I purchased it at a Hobby Store for 9.99.

The Diablo was built when Dodge Chrysler purchased Lamborghini. That's how the Viper got the V10 motor was in the Gioartto.The best CEO in the car industry was Iatolla. He lead Dodge and Mitsubishi to great heights with the Gt 3000 and the convertible Eclipse. He was the man!

You nailed it. It's about 10k to clear film a car. My '19 M6 Competition had it done by the dealer. Technically, it was done by a dealer's contact - but it was done before I took possession of the car. My hope is that it retains that much value when I resell the car. It still looks great and I'm told it's good for at least 10 years and able to be removed cleanly.

I think if I had the money, I'd have a 1953 Corvette Clone made but with a more powerful driveline, better suspension and possibly 10% larger in scale so I could actually fit in it. Than just hit every twisty road in America. What kind of driveline would you guys put in it? I'd want a stout small block V8 like a 383 Stroker motor or maybe even a built chevy inline 6. 4 Speed Manual transmission or a Lenco...and of course a 9" Ford rear end. I don't think I'd ever want to get out of a car like that. So maybe I'll need a macerating/incinerator toilet built in to the driver's seat. Maybe going a bit too far but hey......if you got the money!

You are not correct Tyler. Back in the day there were many more Cadillacs around than Lincoln. The Lincoln is very difficult to keep on the road and the parts cost much more than a Cadillac. Also a Cadillac has fewer electrical problems than the Lincoln. I have had them both and never want another Lincoln from the '60's.
