I have nothing but respect for Pasta. Here's a guy who was underappreciated, treated well by his first NHL team and even though he proved himself, chose a team friendly contract. As a Leaf fan I am envious..
@august42225 жыл бұрын
Hehe, the only guy who took a team-friendly deal of the big guys is Nylander. 6.9 really isn't that much for someone who I think is destined for 70+ points, plus he's insanely good in the neutral zone, both with and without the puck. Fast as hell too. Only thing that lets him down is his defensive and battle play, but wow he's fantastic at almost everything else. Matthew's contract is not great considering how incomplete of a center he is. Marners contract is just not good either. They are still very young though so they could def get better and more complete, but wow they aren't great yet. Not 10 mil+ players.

If you can get 4/5 top players (Landeskog, Mackinnon, Rantanen, Makar, plus any others) from your picks over a few years then that sets you up to be a contender. All other pieces can be gotten from good team management/trading, example being the Duchene trade where they also got Bowen Byram. Then it gets to maybe Panarin, because he doesn't have the line mates Pasta does and puts up the same numbers. Then it's coin tosses. Matthews, Kane, Zabinijad. I'll always take a center over a winger, tougher and far more important position. Give him some sheltered minutes against a little worse competition and you'll have a pretty good offensive d-man. Good transitionally as well. Imo a team like Ottawa should look into getting him, especially considering how bad Dallas have been, they could need some reinforcements. Maybe Honka for a Boedker, Hainsey, Namestnikov and/or Tierney. All of those 4 are expendable for Ottawa imo, and a package with 1, 2 or 3 of them plus something would definitely get Honka.

Pasta was down so far because he hadn’t posted his current numbers before he got drafted... he only had average numbers in Sweden from what you’ve said

I'm kinda dissappointed you would choose any over pastrnak!

taking Pasta almost (not quite) make up for the horrible worst trade of all time Seguin blunder.
@zachbarry52924 жыл бұрын
cinematic comics channel That’s not the worst trade of all time. The worst trade of all time is either Montreal trading Roy to the Avs or Chicago trading away Phil Esposito for a bag of pucks.

The Flames traded away their first round pick in 2015 for Dougie Hamilton so they were totally not going to draft him

many later drafted players go to better teams and learn better skills early on, some of these top guys learn crap from the sh*t rosters they are on, but I still believe the top drafts should go to brutal teams

I find it insane that the Caps could've had Pastrnak but tbf, I don't think he'd be killing it in D.C. like he is in Boston, our top 2 lines are set and aren't going anywhere for a few years so Pasta likely would've been on a 3rd or 4th line role here in D.C.

Draisaital is the only one compatible to Pastrnak. They both play at a level that makes them true stars.

Only 2 people should have been drafted before pasta.. Jesus Christ and Tom Brady and maybe not that order... Jesus saves but pasta scores on the rebound...much love from boston by a bostonian for a boztonian....

@@OhNyquist When the team Is fully healthy he wouldn't ever get ice time because of those injuries. I mean Thomas and Blais has showed that they could be better than Fabbri.
