Agatha All Along is what “let them cook” would be if it was a show lol. People get so impatient nowadays because streaming has gotten us used to just getting the answers. Proper build up and tension is a dying art. But I’m so glad that they chose this direction for the series, and that they really thought through how to weave Lilia’s story into all the past episodes. This is one of the best paced episodes I’ve seen from any of the Disney+ Marvel shows and just Marvel in general tbh. At least for a very long time now. I’m so stoked to see the double finale episodes. Need next week to come sooner 🤩

Yes! I couldn’t understand when people were hating on the show after episode 1 just because they were confused. I thought we all learned after WandaVision that this team loves to play with form and storytelling tropes, so I don’t get why they were put off by it being a detective show for one episode.

This is why it's better NOT to dump these shows all at once to binge watch.
@Rutabega_NG29 күн бұрын
At the end Lilia left her coven with a few gifts - She returned Billy's book (brain) to him She told Agatha what do when when she's called a coward (courage) And sharing herself with Jen gave Jen some empathy for someone else (heart). For herself, she went home. That's The Wizard of Oz tie-in. I can't take credit for deciphering that one, wish I could. ------------------------ Jac Schaeffer understands the difference between television episodes and cutting a movie into eight chunks. They let her do her thing for this one, that's why it works. Hopefully the buzz around this episode will get people pausing and deciding to give this a shot because this is just some brilliant television. This show is definitely not getting the love it deserves, but maybe all of the buzz around this episode will finally get people giving it a shot.

One of the things I love most about this series is the symbolism to real world social issues. Without going into detail, Agatha and her Mother (LGBT), Agatha's struggle to not take power (addiction), and now Lilia (the invisibility of an older woman in American society; the forgotten woman) and (how people with Alzheimer's and similar mental illnesses are often dismissed as kooky and then ignored; the forgotten woman). I'm sure people will disagree with my assessment, but that's the beauty of art... it affects many of us in different ways. This episode was the definition of Art; the writing, directing, visuals, music, and Patti Fu**ing LuPone made this the best episode to date (in my opinion).

I aso think Agatha and her mother can represent how some mothers are somewhat hostile to their daughters and can see them as like a "competition". Think those "boy moms" and the like. They praise their sons but then dismiss their daughters.

YES! Lilia is the GOAT but also, Jen's character development in this episode was amazing. The Jen who entered the Witches' Road would have picked the path to the subway and out to safety. But this Jen is different now. This Jen is the High Priestess who will soon get herself unbound.

I don't understand people who don't like this show. I understand it's campy, but it's got a lot of serious emotion underneath. I saw people SO MAD that Billy was wearing makeup in this one. I liked how her relationship with Jen grew in this episode.

At the end of Jen’s trial, she shoved Lilia out of the way to escape through the oven first. At the end of Lilia’s trial, Jen urged Lilia to go ahead of her. A really nice parallel. ❤ I think Jen will escape the Road soon (maybe through the subway tunnel she and Lilia saw), but I don’t think she’s going to die. Jen’s the path ahead, Lilia says. She’s found her power and opened herself up again, and she has more work to do as the “high priestess” back in the real world. And hopefully back on our screens in future Marvel projects. 👀 Agatha and Billy have done a bit of a switch-up, from Billy falling over himself to praise and defend her, while she dismisses and mocks him, to Billy shutting her out completely, while she seems desperate to regain his admiration and trust. I hope they can have a heart to heart in the finale because I think they both need each other! I also think Rio is going to want to claim Billy’s body. He broke the rules, according to Agatha. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he and Rio showed up in Westview on the same day, with Rio telling Agatha she was there to do her “job.”

This is the greatest episode of ANY show I have ever seen. Cam Squires and Gia King wrote episode 7 of *Agatha All Along* and for me, that is a perfect example of why you need diversity in the writer's rooms. This was beyond perfection in every department: acting, costumes, set design, practical sets (!!!), directing, Script Supervisor (the person on set who keeps track of continuity), and, of course, the writers!!!!! I love Jennifer so much! And when you look at her beautiful growth over the course of the show, it is no wonder she will be the path ahead (hello Midnight Sons!!!). In the 3rd episode, when the oven door opens for them to leave, *Jennifer literally PUSHES Lilia out of the way* so she can escape first! And now, in episode 7, she says, *"I'm not going ahead of you!"* WOW!!!! Just...wow. Perfection. I have LOVED experiencing this show again through your amazing channel!!!! (2 more episodes to go! 🤗🥰)

I am not part of the LGBTQ community and I don't need to be to enjoy seeing REAL PEOPLE in a show!! I LOVE that no one in *Agatha All Along* is treated like a stereotype. I love that a young man has a boyfriend and they are allowed to kiss like Any Normal Couple Would! If you miss the days of having QUALITY television, This Show Is It! Watched this 3 times already, granted another shorter episode but it didn't need to be longer these shorter ones give the biggest punches. The acting was amazing and it was brilliant how they put all those comments together from the previous episodes, The part at the end was heartbreaking, but the reveal of Rio while we expected it was scary you could see she loved every second of it. Noticed Billy is showing a darker side to himself not quite sure I like it. Don't believe for one moment he's not interested in Wanda he might be angry. Disney have a brilliant blueprint for the future they dont need to spend millions on a series get the right actors and script. This is by far the best show I've watched for a long time.
@ParticleZonАй бұрын
A darker side, or is it just rebellious teen attitude because the witch he was fangirling over majorly fell off her pedestal and now he doesn't think he can trust her at all. And he's making with the judgements, which is what I think caused Agatha to fall back into her Bad Witch persona. ("You are so much like your mother.") She's lived there for centuries.

@seese9456Ай бұрын
Lilia's life is technically cyclical, which you could tell from this episode because the starting shot was the same as the ending one, forming a loop like the snake eating its own tail. She can also be considered immortal because her mind and spirit experience time in a nonlinear fashion. At the end of the episode, she stayed behind because she wanted to protect her "new" coven to get closure for not being able to save her "old" coven. Additionally, her witch trial and life journey was her learning to accept fate and the nature of her existence. As a sidenote, 2 witches from the Salem Seven might be still alive because we only see and hear 5 of them get impaled by the ceiling swords - since two of them can transform into flying animals.

I’m still holding to the theory that William/Billy has created this version of the road in his subconscious. First, he’s the one that initiates every single trial. Second, some of these match up to what we saw in his room, like this episode. There’s some connection here that hasn’t been put together yet.

I think a lot of your theories are spot on! there’s a bigger one I won’t spoil yet but you’re already on the right track. Re: Agatha’s expression in the beginning when she’s looking at Billy ahead of her - I see hurt there. As he says later, she’s been telling him the truth, and he hasn’t been listening. He basically hasn’t stopped going for her neck since the end of ep 5. He’s been making her the villain but she isn’t, not truly. Also plays into a larger theory I have that I won’t expand on here but I can’t wait to see where it plays out. But whenever she snaps at him or turns on her evil villain mode, it’s always a reaction to what people are assuming she is (aka evil, the worst, etc.), and then she tries to take control of the narrative by being the best villain she can be. But it’s an act, a mask, a defense mechanism. At her core, Agatha is deeply wounded, which is reflected in her tarot card. She needs to heal those wounds to step into her true self and show the coven and especially Billy who she really is, which is where I think we’re headed in the finale. But if we’re following WandaVision structure, which we kind of have been, then episode 8 is the flashback/trauma dump episode for Agatha so grab your tissues for that.

Gotta say I am a traditional superhero kinda guy that was very sceptical about this because lets be honest, like alot of other marvel fans I had grown very critical to the MCU because of all the, dare I say it even? I hate to misuse the term, but for lack of better words, because of all the "wokeness" that was being injected into projects. I thought it was just some agenda that was being forced on me which I could not identify with at all. Agatha all along showed me it was not the "woke" element that annoyed me, at all.. it was literally the bad writing of the characters and story. Agatha All Along really blew me out of that bubble, after coming from Deadpool and Wolverine which I really loved. I am not even gonna lie, AAL might be myfavorite MCU project so far. I think the criticism on this show are from people who have let the setbacks of the past cloud their judgement and not see this show for the marvel that it is. They managed to reel us in with an amazing story and set of characters, and still make this inclusive without making it feel forced or fake at all, all the characters are just bosses in their own right, I hope marvel sees the positive reaction to this and keeps it up.. Cause I am a fan. I got woken up by the amazing writing of this show and the characters, how they use symbolism and representation in such a sublime manner to expand our horizon, and this episode actually made me tear up a bit lmfao!

The ONLY critique I have about this show is how they’re focusing waaaay too much on Billy and his whole story. Like…….. I want AGATHA lmao and the witches and also Agatha and Rio’s relationship, I’m not clicking on this show to know about no Wanda son lol it’s so hard to care. I also don’t think it’s fair that they’re using Agatha and HER SHOW as a sort of Trojan horse to introduce Billy into the MCU. Agatha is a badass lesbian witch in love with Death herself, and that’s more than interesting enough to keep the whole show going, but they keep shifting the focus to show a man’s story. Like… he will go on to have so many more opportunities to shine in his own projects, can we just FOR ONCE let the women and their relationships take center stage??? It’s so tiring when every women-centered media (ESPECIALLY LESBIAN ONES!!!) keeps finding a way to shift focus to some man on the cast. Mind you, he’s the ONLY male character in a show stock full of amazing women (lesbians and straights) and they STILL managed to make the whole thing about him. 1 entire episode about him alone (one of the longest episodes on the whole show even) when they couldn’t even give us enough backstory on the main character herself. Again, SO TIRING.
