Everyone is trying to reinvent the wheel and make a name for themselves. Not sure some of these influencers understand how long bodybuilding has been around. STOP!! Love that Mike shows me basic stuff but done properly. Thanks sir!!
@Rob-ml3sp2 ай бұрын
Exactly Mike. I see so many "influencers" promoting stupid variations. Just connect better with the machines or bars that you're using and stop loading plates!!
@joshuawheelock88742 ай бұрын
1) who cares how other people train? 2) from casual observation, the problem with people who seem to make no progress isn't "loading plates" but exactly the opposite; people training with super low intensity and super light loads to exhibit what they consider perfect form or some unique variation that demonstrates their genius
@Rob-ml3sp2 ай бұрын
@@joshuawheelock8874 The issue is that many people confuse needing to load plates with how they measure progress when in reality they are sacrificing good form and connection that will actually promote growth!

Bodybuilding is a long individual process of learning. I've been on my own bodybuilding journey for 26 years now. There has been so much trial and error. I'll think I have things figured out and then years later I'll try something else and realize I had been doing it wrong all along. Or at least I hadn't been doing it optimally. This is a good thing. The problem is, with social media, everyone wants to be a teacher now. I see guys who have been training for a couple of years and have very unimpressive physiques, yet pass their self off as gurus. Even with all my experience, all my wisdom, and all the progress I've made, I still don't feel comfortable claiming to be an expert. I don't have all the answers. What works for me may not work for others and I'm sure there are still things I'm doing wrong.

@AFCA.Amsterdam that's got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it. You really don't need machines....AT ALL! Barbell, Dumbells and Cables...PERIOD! The machines are just a convenient variation...nothing more.

@@jfg1104 right. 1970 Sergio Oliva still looks better than 99% of the men on the planet and used very very few machines. And of course back then, no "advanced" machines.

I’ll keep it real, I try a ton of what I see online. I’ve also invented a lot myself like squeezing my chest with the adductor machine. One thing that is 100% accurate is that anyone who uses the fancy language and too many big words is trying to compensate for their bullsh*t. Nobody trying to honestly explain something with clarity and understanding would ever bust out anatomy buzzwords.

Basic basic shit works extremely well if your body responds (decent to great genetics). If you’re struggling to grow and you’re doing everything right. Just except that nothing is gonna work, cuz if you’re doing nonsense 💩 it’s likely you’re wasting other gym goers time.

Never mind the fact that they don't adjust the machine to their height, let alone adjust the seat to their clients height or even teach their clients to adjust the machine to their height.
