YES! Well, sort of. Each one resonated a tiny bit. Accepting that my home will never be perfect and I’ll never pay what I’d need to for dream pieces, for one. Accepting that my smaller rooms mean some things will always feel a little cramped. Like the cabinet we use as a bathroom vanity - it has to be there but it makes the bathroom entry feel tighter than I’d like. But I have the privilege of a three-bedroom (very small bedroom) place in a great location. So, okay. Executive dysfunction, check. Though for me the main thing is I like too many unique things and struggled to edit my design, so I trend towards clutter. The small rooms don’t help. But for me,

As a believer of Feng Shui, yes, get rid of the mattress, that is one of the beliefs of this philosophy. It accumulates bad energy and you need to clean that slate for positive energy and luck for yourself, by changing the mattress. Better yet, if it is brand new. Same with flowers and plants, they need to be tended to, to give you positive energy

I painted my office blue and my bedroom green once I moved into my house and it felt off ever since. I debated on painting for sooo long and ended up going back to neutral (SW white sesame) Now my styling seems easier

I went the opposite way. I painted my office plum, my bedroom wall behind my bed persimmon, and my guest room a bright minty sea green color called Thai Silk and only then did I feel like my styling worked - the original neutrals didnt set anything off. Though I did finally find a neutral I liked - Dulux’s Cotton Fantasy. Turns out I ONLY like warm whites, never cool ones.
