Not just iPhones even my LG G3 gets darker in the sun. Even worse it reduces the birghtness at its own from 100 to 90 due to overheating which is sometimes a safety barrier to prevent further damages. But on the iPhone side it also dims itself even if it's not overheating like being said on the video, FYI i never owned an iPhone before but it seems like i have been experiencing the same thing to my phone too.
@megapangolin10934 ай бұрын
Any phone with an OLED screen should be similarly affected.
@NathanYellowStarProductions4 ай бұрын
@@megapangolin1093 Yes but there are 2 factors to consider. The Operating system and the brightness nits. If your OS automatically adjusts your brightness then it will be darker by itself. But if the nits are low then you'll get a lower brightness even if you set it to 100. I use my 2 LG phones at 0 brightness on indoors and they are pretty fully usable, i set it to 30 if i am on outdoors as i need more brightness on outdoors. Man i just cannot believe that LG Made the brightest displays even on 0 percent they remain usable on indoors. But on outdoors you need more brightness.

@99soup3 ай бұрын
navigation apps like google maps and waze are very processor intensive, and while having your phone near the car AC vent helps it cool down and it might feel cold to the touch, it will still be hot on the inside because heat is being produced inside of the device, and the lack of active cooling on phones makes it quite tricky to expel the heat out of the device. tl;dr if the outside is cold that doesnt mean the iphone isnt overheating, more so if it's an older model OR powered by the A17 Pro chip.
