Wife Falsely Acc*sed Me of Cheating but It Backfired Badly Because It Was Her Mom Who Exposed Her Affair to Me. Now My in-laws Want to Make Me to Inherit $2 Million, While Disowning Her. #redditrelationship #redditstories

'It rightfully belongs to her' erm, no it doesnt, it rightfully belongs to her parents and goes to whoever they wish, being the daughter of them doesnt mean their money is rightfully hers, how preposterous

These stories have a tendency towards these rather stupid claims of guilt where none would exist in real life. You don't feel guilt for being given $2 million by your in laws as inheritance because they don't like their daughter. Not after she already cheated on you.

The money belongs to the in laws, and they get to choose what they want to do with it. In this case, they wanted to give it to the OP.
@GenGamesUniverse26 күн бұрын
that is correct, but as I said in my comment; Nicole could actually contest the will and with the way she is implied to be, she will do everything it takes to get that $2m inheritance away from OP, so what they should have done was drawn up a new will where OP gets the $1,999,999.99 and Nicole gets $0.01 as inheritance.
@southernflight507826 күн бұрын
@GenGamesUniverse could just do what I remember from a different story. The In-Laws straight up handed over everything they didn't need for retirement and then left their son, in this case daughter, hugh and dry.

This is kinda crazy and probably fake, but I have a friend that has somewhat of a similar story so I kind of think thta its possible to be true. He was engaged to a this girl and she wet to study for her master in Spain. During this he got very close to his in-laws, and since he was not in speaking term with his parents, they became kind of his parents and he also became a big brother to his SIL. She cheated on him and started dating a guy there. Her parents diswoned her and he became their son. He spends christmas with them and they even walked with him at his wedding. His kids call them grandpa and grandma. I have no idea what happened to his ex. All I know is that she only contacts her sister.
@revresbo10125 күн бұрын
“It didn’t mean anything” hurts just as bad as if you had emotional attachment to AP. Because if it didn’t mean anything and you still did it that means that the fling itself meant more to her than you. So essentially you mean nothing to her

Thing is, yes I would say take the money as inheritance, HOWEVER, Nicole could actually contest it and say it was supposed to go to her. The way I would have gone about it was give her 1 cent in inheritance and then the other 1,999,999.99 goes to OP. That way it's still legal that the OP gets the inheritance, minus the tax that comes off of it, then Nicole gets a measly cent.

It's amazing how the in-laws sound more like loving parents than his real parents are. It's nice that they want to help him and their daughter's actions are disgraceful. A fling mistake only happens once. If she continued to do it then that showed she had no intention of ending it. That cheating woman is a real lowlife. I despise how OP is acting and handling this situation. He doesn't want to believe that his wife is cheating even with photos and he talks to her hoping that there's a logical explanation from her but he acts even more pathetic when he doesn't get it and leaves the house instead of getting mad and kicking her out of the house by force. Honestly if she had said that she wasn't, he would just believe her and just play stupid/go on being oblivious to the affair. Then he wants to do right by her even after what she did. He finally grows a spine when he was encouraged by Reddit and his inlaws to take the inheritance. But he seriously needs to grow a fricking pair. Needless to say, the wife is truly a pos. She gets caught and deflect blame to OP. Then when her parents reveals the truth, she gets mad at them for what they did and runs off like a spoiled brat who didn't get what she wanted. She dug her hole bigger when she quitted and went to live with her pos ap. The parents are the real ones here. Not many would do that unfortunately as they would actually support their kids despite it.

I love that way too common phrase, "It didn't mean anything" because its true, it didn't mean anything. Except they aren't referring to the affair, they're referring to their marriage/relationship. If she was supposed to inherit that then it'd be dumb not to discipline her in some capacity. How do we know the guy isn't looking for a come up?
