Wow ! Someone finally to get closer to what is actually happening for women! Adding to this monthly havoc of hormones jumps and downs, causing headaches and other physical symptoms , overwhelming feeling that you need to care for everyone ones else, crying children, physical tiredness, .. I could go on and on. After 30 years of marriage I have been given the words and scientific explanation.

Intimacy is work. Too much work then intimacy doesn’t equate to a better relationship. At that point the relationship goes downhill from there, especially if one of the parties aren’t reciprocating the energy from the other.

I love how men literally have to jump through hoops for their wives like a circus animal in order to have a need met. My wife and I haven’t had sex in over a year. I help with everything around the house, I help take our kids to practices and games, I try to be intimate with my wife without mentioning anything about sex (ie just cuddling, hugs, volunteering to give her massages after a rough day…), I ask her on weekly date nights, I leave her sweet notes every now ans then before I leave for work…, and not one time in over a year have I even asked for or mentioned anything about sex. Still…nothing. I’ve been listening to you and many others for over a year, and I’ve learned a lot. It’s not what I’m saying to her or not saying to her that’s the problem. She’ll call me daily while I’m at work just to talk to me, and i love to sit and listen to her and chat. I literally feel like I’m doing everything. Care to talk to the wives out there and perhaps give some suggestions as to what they need to be doing for their husbands??

Just so you know you're not alone, you literally just described the relationship with my wife. We've had sex once in the last year, that was nearly a year ago now, and it wasn't good sex. It was chore sex complete with the "are you finished yet?" cherry on top of it. I try to do nice things, be romantic without the expectation of sex, do everything, take care of all the problems, but she's chronically too tired, not in the mood, >, etc., however, she's never too tired to go do stuff with her friends. It's like our marriage has been completely replaced with doing stuff with her friends. We once had an amazing sex life, but after our 2nd child, our daughter was born, things went from 3 - 4 times a week, then down to once a week, then once a month, now were at once a year or none at all. I've tried everything, but nothing has worked. Basically my wife and I are roommates, and honestly I don't think she gets it that this is in anyway wrong, or cares for that matter.

I have no idea how men watch and tolerate their sex life going from 3-4 times a week to once a year if that. I love my wife and it sounds like you guys do too but once a year would be a dealbreaker. Ultimatums would be issued at 6 months and if she couldn’t figure her stuff out by a year I’d be gone. I personally believe that both spouses should want and be wanted by their partner as equally as possible. Most of the time this doesn’t happen but it’s close enough to be content and happy. Once a year though? No. Just no. Have some self respect and find someone who will love you properly.

Seriously money means nothing to me, I’m about to inherit enough to enable me to retire at the age of 45 but atm I’d rather end it all just beacsuse my wife refuses to give my a hug. WOW Geoffrey, great advice brother , One question, I'm that guy that am in the cycle of getting frustrated, angry and can't hide my feelings, it's written all over my face and in my body language. I love my partner dearly, We have been together for 28 years, she's the mother of my two sons who are 16 and 19 years old now. She never wanted sex after the boys were born. Now we are becoming sexual again. We were wild when we first meet. There's so many elements that I don't want to write here online. My biggest huddle is my anger. I can't let go of the rejection. Any advice ????

When it comes to women and sex it's a nightmare. I once heard a therapist say something that changed my life. She said that women make the mistake of waiting for something to happen, for something to happen to get turned on. What they forget is that unlike men who stimulate themselves quickly just by seeing something sexy, women need to take the initiative themselves for their body to work. In other words, the most important organ in sex is the brain. And as often happens, women with so much negativity destroy themselves.
@keishapuryear8180
@keishapuryear8180 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm interesting. I think the psychological threat and emotional safety triggers haven't been in our head although the brain is what processes it. Usually the negative triggers come from the partner's words and behavior. I can have happy sexy thoughts all day in my head but if my husband comes home and says or does something offensive all the wasted happy thoughts go right out the window and we're left with disappointment or resentment.
@woolzem
@woolzem 10 ай бұрын
The problem is that we don't think like you. We aren't turned on by "seeing something sexy". I orgasm by remembering something that a man has said or done for me years ago. If I could flip the switch, my God, I would. It would bring me so much more pleasure and release. Unfortunately, I can't. I am wired to seek intimacy and emotional connection. Let me make this clear: this is not a FEMALE thing. I am demisexual which falls under the ace umbrella. But I do love sex... just, only when I'm deeply intimately connected with the person. It's very awkward otherwise. My two cents as a woman

The sad thing is this is most people. What is sad we have made this our reality. Basically people falling in love only in emotion. Love is a person, it is a sacrifice, it is an action, a decision. Emotion blows with the wind. Basically this is telling us that we're dealing with a lot of people or ourselves that don't have no self control!!! We let emotion detect who we are and how we're going to treat people. It is funny how we dedicate love to our dreams or our businesses with no emotion, but can't do that in our relationships or the people we say we love.
@GeoffreySetiawan
@GeoffreySetiawan 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Luther, Thank you for your feedback, I guess.. to me I see it a bit differently. To me I see emotion at the forefront of everything I do. Including my business and relationship. I guess tell me more about how you see it?
@LutherPittman
@LutherPittman 3 жыл бұрын
@@GeoffreySetiawan We all are human and we're going to feel emotions. I heard some where and i took it like this "Wisdom says patience, while emotion says hurry". Our emotions are fragile and vulnerable. Without using your brain or thought it can cause you to do things out of character and/or make a self-centered reaction without thinking because of how you feel. That is why the world is quick to do things that causes people to divorce 50% and even amongst my brothers & sisters in Christ also do things that go against their vows that end up divorce around 60% i saw in one article. When things don't go our way or don't feel right most tend to react from an emotion that causes destruction to their own character, pain on their spouse, and their children/family is wounded or effected negatively for life in most cases. Jesus talks about it a lot in the Bible, be careful of your emotions!!!

The vicious cycle of a man being an entitled unapologetic a grumpy jerk and then wondering why she finds him unattractive and even repulsive. Going on 20 years & I chased & begged for years at one point I was open & vulnerable… he just walked all over me & left me alone we split up for 2/3 years & we’re together again & now he’s trying to be “affectionate” but he’s already set the broken foundation of the major lack of safety & trust & I no longer can continue with him I’ve expressed to him I no longer want to continue this relationship I no longer want intimacy I no longer seek companionship with him & we’re always arguing & I’ve told him to move out because at this point we’re just in a constantly cycle of messy emotions he won’t leave he won’t go because he doesn’t want to “Lose” me again but in actual it’s the fear of loneliness.

Sex should be created not expected. This video’s subject is underestimated. Everyone should watch this and educate themselves when they are planning to have a good balance of long lasting intimacy and good quality in their relationship. Most people don’t get it and are missing the point. Sad truth. Thanks for this very educational video.

It's 23:10 by me right now... I'm sitting outside on the porch right now, crying my eyes out.. My partner is not being intimate with me anymore. We are both female. She's someone older than me... And I don't know if thats an aspect of it. But I have always been very insecure about myself... Today I dyed my hair and did my makeup nicely for her... And I've brought it up to her as well.. The topic of no intimacy... This morning and yesterday... Its been about a month ago that she was intimate with me. I've lost 5 kgs in that month, to be more attractive... And she says that she is attracted to me.. And she does still want me in that way... But throughout our relationship, our intimacy has decreased drastically on her side. And I don't want to bring it up again, I dont ever want her to feel forced or that she has to. I love her with all of me. Her, along with our son, is my whole entire life. I don't know what to do. I have no one to speak to... I just felt like I had to say it...

Were all adults no one needs to be massaged to say how theyre feeling. We are adults, if your adult partner cant put on their big people pants and express how they feel wants and needs... well youre dealing with someone that is emotionally immature. So guess what dont ever beg someone to tell you how they feel. If they wanna behave like a child throwing a tantrum respect their space dont bother them remain kind but dont beg to be informed as to their temperment. And they will hopefully realize that speaking and communicating are more adult ways of voicing concerns as opposed to throwing an adult tantrum. No one can offend or upset you. Offence is taken not given. Also we are all personally responsible for our emotions, though others may hurt them.. it is always our personal duty to voice them. Should this cease them communication becomes strained resentment grows. By catering or begging to know how someone is feeling whem they wont simply tell you, you are in fact promoting childish behavior. State once and only once i care for you and when youre ready to talk im here but do not beg or persuade. This only serves to promote this kind of behavior

@GeoffreySetiawan
@GeoffreySetiawan 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ida! This is definitely a reason, and will be addressed in another video. But in my experience, there is also something to be said about time NOT being the root issue. The issue is that in the small amounts of time you have together, you both may not be doing the right thing to organically create moments of intimacy. My partner and I work 12 hour days, 6 days a week on our businesses, but we still have amazing intimacy.

@@GeoffreySetiawan it's also about inequity in the relationship. When women are working full time and looking after home and kids and getting little help from their partner who is relaxing in the evening. It means they're tired and resentful. Sex then becomes another 'job'. Seen too many women in this situation over the past 25 yrs and been there myself. U can only keep on meeting someone elses sexual needs for so long before it starts to eat away at your self worth.

If you can't secrete those hormones for her, then she can't secrete down there. Therefore it is painful, and something that goes unnoticed is that it is a sacrifice made for him. You feel forgotten when all is done and you are left with pain. While the experience is supposed to be for both, not just for one.

You nailed it! When it is presented to us as another chore to add to the many we already have , it becomes less attractive to us , it becomes a burden , not a desire. My biggest issue with my husband was that he didn’t no the difference between just being intimate without it having to lead to sex. That made it very difficult to have intimacy , which in turn ended up effecting our sex life. He would put pressure on me in small was and jesters , like Honey We really need along time this weekend. And my logical brains says , he is being open and Honest with me, but my emotional side , start to hear “Demands, pressure, no spontaneity” more like an appointment you make with a doctor 🤷🏻‍♀️ . My logic brains and I do love him wants to say ok , I hear you . But my emotionally side feels robbed, feels completely not motivated. It has been a bigger issue now that age and premenopausal symptoms have emerged. I want to be more affectionate, and have a healthy sex life, but sometimes it just feels more like work then enjoyment, and I’d rather just go to sleep. Lol He is trying to be better and understand, but it’s hard for me to get out of this mindset we have put ourselves into over the yrs . I need help with that!

Hi Gill Mahoney, What changes? How does this differ from closing off, stonewalling. These are all forms of dismissive behavior and resistance. You see once someone knows how to create emotional safety you will be shocked at just how open our partners can become. So the right question to ask ourselves is, do I know how to create emotional safety?
