Wow. If you want to truly understand how low the bar is for SocCitizenship, look no further than the timing of his “What’s your probable cause” inquiry. A judge, in court, on camera, with a room full of witnesses, finds him in contempt and orders him to jail. And he asks the court officer about “probable cause”. You can’t make this stuff up. Great video. Great way to start the week.

These people come loaded to the hilt with nonsensical affidavits, add nonsensical words to simple documents, insist on not waving rights, and generally act is if they know exactly what's going on while insisting everyone else is wrong, then they spring the "I'm not usually in court so this is very confusing" attitude. So which is it, genius? Either you're more on the ball than everyone, you know all the ins and outs of the system that is (actually not) conspiring against you, insist everything being patiently explained to you is false - or you don't know anything. Pick one.

If these crazy people believe this nonsense, then why do they even show up to court? It makes even less sense than these crazy people do! At the "I don't really know what I'm doing but I don't want an attorney" stage, the Judge needs to ask these guys if they even know what an attorney IS. They will teach you what you need to know, and even do a lot of the work for you if you want. You don't want that? It seems like you do want that.

I think it was reasonable for him to ask for the trial date and decide if he needs an attorney in the meantime. That happened to me and I chose to be assisted by duty council in the meantime. But I guess things are different here in Canada. This was where my friend and I were charged with public drunkenness (which we were) and we pleaded guilty and got a warning on our records and community service. And we did not say we were God :-)
