A perfect toy, one that spits hot water :D. That old oiler is wicked!

The more you flick it, the more you lower the pressure. Wind string round the copper pipes to lag them. On mine I also lagged the outside of the boiler with mahogany strips, held in place with two thin brass straps soldered into rings.

Thanks. I have since lagged it similar to what you have, but haven’t ran it as yet. It looks so much better though. Hopefully it runs better too! 👍

No, it doesn’t have any leaks? Where are the leaks? It was run in fold conditions, hence the steam was condensing almost immediately upon being exhausted. I have at least 20 engines in my collection and I have to say this is the poorest in its performance, but as I said in the video it was a low cost engine. I am one of many who feel the same about this engine. Still it’s a fun engine. Thanks for your comments. 👍
