I really wonder what’s going to happen. China has made leaps and bounds in technology and increasing the size of their military. Although they have a slightly larger navy and Air Force I wonder the quality of their tech. It’s obvious they’ve copied the last two aircraft from stolen US plans but they are slightly different. There is something to be said by making a gen 1 fighter then a 2, 3 , 4 and then a 5th. The experience in developing each technology as opposed to quickly making a knock off. We’ve never really went up against them to see if the stealth is effective or not. So that could go we are slightly better to destroying them. When their numbers are slightly bigger even a 2 for 1 would deplete us but still win. If our usual dominance of 4+ to 1 no problem. Same with the navy. I think we could knock off a substantial amount of their navy with minimal loss. I say minimal as an aircraft carrier or two. Which would suck but we could still fight easily after that. I can say our intel and battle space management and every piece of our war machine working as one is something that’s taken decades of costly development and time to master those skills. Thats a big advantage. China has worked on asymmetric weapons like their carrier killer which would keep us at a distance. That could have a big impact. Lastly the Chinese people have generations without war and I don’t know if that comes into play as much as it did historically with technology playing such a big role. Probably find out soon
