Thank you for your humility and honesty I started to watch you about five weeks ago and I have been sober for a month now from watching your Channel I've not had much success all these years I've been drinking for 40 years easy I have been a musician a lot of my life I had to take a break because the lifestyle was killing me literally I think it's your realism and cutting through the s*** not being a coach just someone that is trying to figure it out I've watched other sobriety KZbin channels off and on for 10 years but they never really worked don't forget where you came from please keep your humility and your channel will become a huge success I thank you I'm glad you keep it real 🎸 Keep On Rockin in the Free World

It takes time. It gets better. Gratitude is very helpful. Reduce/eliminate nagging problems, like negative friends that drag you down. Stop watching TV: Instant mood elevator.

Thanks Jae! Day 476 sober here. Good timing to watch this. Definitely feel way more healthy being sober, nicotine-free with improved sleep, weight loss, clean diet. Now: Staying focused on recovery with AA Meeting daily and continuing therapy: I am not interested in doing stuff (yet?) that I used to do a lot tied to drinking. Specifically: Sailing and golfing. So, praying and wondering and hopefully being open to whatever is next on this journey. I am on the sober for life gig since my fatty liver disease has been reversed: Another round of drinks might be my last... drinking worked when it did and doesn’t anymore.

I can't seem to break my drinking routine...I buy alcohol to drink when I get home at midnight and I wake up and drink, fall asleep for 4hrs and go to work... Only thing I've managed to do is add your videos to my day... I emotionally feel better in my struggle.thank you.

Hey dude, this first step of adding these videos to your routine is a great first step. Commenting and getting involved is a brave second step. Little steps will eventually make big changes.

i'm 20 days sober today...but these last 3 days i've felt so empty and depressed....been to the cinema twice and both times cried through out the movies,been totally wrapped up in my own thoughts,at night i feel i could punch through a steel wall to get a can of lager,just feel like i wanna go to sleep and never wake up again.

Not sure that I will completely cut alcohol out of my life, but I want to cut down. These videos are helpful regardless. Good stuff man keep it up. Also I notice the pioneer DJ board behind ya, you should upload a video of you jamming out for a bit as it's obviously something that keeps you occupied! Anyways, warm regards from Canada! -J

I can certainly relate to the emotional roller coaster, even just this week. Monday and Wednesday were kind of stressful days at work (even though I'm working from home all by myself), Thursday I had random anxiety, Friday I was on cloud nine and today was I felt ambitious, despite the snowstorm. Wednesday and Thursday I thought about a drink, but it did pass. Today is day 24 and time goes so fast, I can't even believe it. I have so much time in the evenings to think with a clear mind now. I'm working on my goals and that is making me really happy.
@GettingSoberAgain3 жыл бұрын
Tell me more about your goals!! I signed up for these business classes, but they are pretty easy. I could have taken more, but it's good to know for the future =)
@k.39243 жыл бұрын
My goals are all financial related. A certain amount $ by a certain date. Last year I had a major mind shift and put my focus to my finances and planning my retirement. A couple years ago my thoughts were kind of dismal despite me being a high achiever normally when I put my mind to it. I had to switch my mind to learning new skills, believing back in myself, and taking action. With being sober I finally feel like I am tackling my last biggest hurdle, booze. I also no longer have guilt! (In the present; still past guilt but trying not to dwell on that.,)

I'm sorry I haven't commented on so long! Almost to 3 months no alcohol! I've been soooo busy got into learning alot of different things and making many more pendants. I haven't needed to nap in a long time. When I drank I was tired all the time

I have had to make changes to trick myself into new habits or when I have a sweet craving. I switched to flavored sparkling waters with stevia and a twist in a nice glass, "mocktails". I also have sugar free candy such as chocolate and hard candy. I have usually 1-2 pieces a day. These are my hack habits. So far so good, day 24!
@GettingSoberAgain3 жыл бұрын
24 strong!!! Mocktails are fun right? Did you get any fancy fruits or make any sugar/cinnamon/salt/cayenne rims yet? I just bought some Italian Grapefruit soda from Whole Foods....LOTS of sugar though. Today was sort of a cheat day. I just bought Sugar for the first time since running out in December, also Ben & Jerry was on sale lol I'm DOOMED!!!
@k.39243 жыл бұрын
Oooh, Ben and Jerry's, that's a special treat! That's okay. You hit the gym every day! I use lime wedges or an orange twist with a Maraschino cherry.
