Here's something I've done in a few homes ...since you have a couple of strong boys in that house I'd bring the sofa that is in the baby kitchen and place it where the new sofa is to go, then pull in an arm chair from another room , position it where you think you want your momma chair , a side table or two, just walk the house and pull in things temporarily, then you can really feel what the area looks like and how it flows with furniture - these things you bring in are just temporarily there and you can just move them back to their original homes, but this has really helped me to see what I think I want, and sometimes when I've done this I ended up changing my mind on what I thought I wanted.

You should put your mixer next to your baking supply drawers. Also, a measuring cup or half cup measuring cup in each tub of flour, sugar, oats, rice...makes it one less step as you don't have to get the measuring cups out then go to measure the ingredients.

My grandma had 10 kids in the war era here in Belgium. First thing my grandpa did was build an extension to the house, housing the kitchen, which was about half your big mama kitchen, but still big enough. She had the first washing machine on the block, that thing turned daily and multiple times. I love it when my mom talks of her (happy) childhood.

Jamerrill, I just have to tell you this. Ever since you made the video about your life story (which made me love you even more) I watch your videos now with the knowledge of where you came from. I have to tell you how proud and impressed I am with you. The Lord gave you His Hand and you took it and with His direction have made a wonderful life for yourself and your beautiful family. So with that said, I hope you understand how thrilled and happy so many of us are watching you organize your dream kitchen and opening new boxes of kitchen essentials. You truly deserve this and I’m so happy you’ve shared it with all of us. 😊❤

It just warms my heart seeing you happily moving into your mega momma kitchen all while running your business, feeding people and getting ready for the new school year. And even though my nest is empty now it is still motivating to see you work through the placement of things in the kitchen. In this season of life I've been trying to re-work the kitchen because it was first set up to be functional for life with school-age kids and an outside job.

You could make the stainless steel table a “hydration station.” Coffee maker, drink mixes, teas, kiddie cups, vitamins in the drawers, etc. then it’s all in one place…and the coffee is in arms reach of your mama chair. 😉

You know how stores, like Walmart, have a couple of aisles up front for current items, seasonal stuff, etc. I think that is what that perfect little table under the window should be for. It will be handy to have and it can be changed out for each season depending on what is going on. LOVE it!! Ok back to the video.... perfect for the bread machines too!! That cabinet above the ice maker would make a great spot for vitamins....maybe??? Hey Jamerrill, you are NOT weird. I take offense at that. You are kind and lovely and dedicated and hardworking and loving and all the good descriptions!!

Agreed, I don't think that is a great word to describe anyone, Jamerille to me is; hard-working, intelligent, loving, kind, gracious, spirited, honest, nurturing, funny, a planner, caring and I could go on and on, weird...isn't one of the words that would ever come to mind, but I haven't worked with her, lol...but, I have a strong feeling that if I had I would still use all the same words as I stated before to describe her. I have worked with people who perhaps thought I was a little "different" , in my early years that bothered me greatly, now @ 54 I realize that sometimes you can be so passionate about something that this passion actually scares others, they haven't experienced that themselves and so, I have found, they don't know what to make of it.

The kitchen room is gorgeous and so functional for your family. It does take time to make it all work; especially with the size of the area. I rearranged my kitchen/pantries when I retired and started using the kitchen more. I still give it tweaks here and there. So...long story short. It is a process and ever evolving depending on what season your family is in. Thanks!

Yes you can move all the fruit and basket to the island, and you can always place your glass canisters there. Your KitchenAid mixer would also look great in that corner. I think you are doing an amazing job. Beautiful kitchen and well deserved.

You will figure out what works in your beautiful kitchen and, of course, your family will enjoy eating there as well. What a gorgeous room to get inspired in and to make wonderful meals in. Congrats on finishing the kitchen!!!!! It's stunning!

Love you love the kitchen. My 62 year old momma brain has learned if i give myself extra counter space i will just fill it up. 😛 I don’t like tons of stuff on my counters , but you have the dream kitchen- so many cabinets to store things! Have so much fun figuring it out!!

Hi Jamarrill, I think your doing a great job. It’s just going to take a little while because you have a lot to go through but eventually you will get there. I wouldn’t want an organizer because you need to go through things and decide where you want to put thing’s and what will be good for you and your family. I mean if you were very overwhelmed and not doing anything than I think that would be a good idea but that’s not the case.

Hello, I have just started watching your videos a few weeks ago and I love them. I put them on my phone when I am running around the kitchen☺️ I am a 56 year old Nana of 4 and Mom(single) of 3, my son and twin girls. In watching some videos you are making big batches of pasta, what I do with extra pasta is put olive oil on the pasta and mix it up. It helps keep it separated and not dry out. When raising 3 and helping with 4 grandbabies age 8 and under, we have the kids always take dishes to sink ( the ones able to) scrap in a bowl or garbage anything maybe left on a plate and then dishes are rinsed off. I have had many many times of over flowing sinks and such or waiting til next day to deal with it ( so can relate) rinsing off dishes helps a ton. Very glad I found yours videos and please keep making. My favorite saying for you is "Yes and Amen" sometimes I do throw in double amen ☺️

I think your kitchen is beautiful! I moved into my new house a month ago and I’m still shuffling things around especially in the kitchen. Just live with it for a while then see how you want to move things around. I found in my pantry it felt like I had no room (despite having 2-3 times the space of my old one) and now I’m finding as I use my extra stock of things that I didn’t know I had in my smaller pantry I now how more room and finding the comfortable home for things.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Jamerrill, ❤️❤️❤️ your new kitchen. Travis & you did a great job designing it. Regarding all those instruction manuals for your big & small appliances, you can download most of them electronically now and save them in a file on your computer. It has helped me reduce the paper and freed up a drawer in my kitchen. PS: I think I need to buy at least one of those big mama bowls.

Love seeing the kitchen come along! Helps me draft future 'dream' spaces for our home, and also think how what's here can work more effectively in the meantime. You are an inspiration every video I watch, I always come away with ideas and feel like I've had a delightful coffee with a dear friend. For our quiet dishwasher, we have an indicator card or magnet that we move when it's running so we don't interrupt a load that someone else started.
