Amazing job, you are such a cool pair working together, I've been working with my dad on a few projects, and I love watching others who actually know what their doing... Would you happen to have any tips, or tricks on how to free up a seized engine on an older Allis-Chalmers model B like the double tractor you guys have? Just got it from my Grandpa who wants to see it running again anything that could save the block would be a super help. As Always, stupendous job!

G'day Lance...mate, you need to get yourself the screw type valve spring lifter tool. It looks like a set of tweezers with a tap head on the head. That'll lift the springs and hold them up whilst you manipulate the valves. You'd be better off just rebuilding the whole engine to be honest, those valve seats look really bad fkr holding compression. As for parts....have you tried contacting Vintage Power Wagons? This block is almost exactly, if not 100% exactly, the same as the 1940's Dodge blocks I have for my 1940's WC-51 Weapons Carrier trucks !!! These old Dodge/Chrysler/Plymoth/DeSoto blocks are basically all exactly the same. I have a T214 block in my 1942 Dodge WC-51 so I'm pretty sure if you spoke to Vintage Power Wagons they'd have the parts you need.

If you know anything about those Old Flat Heads. No matter the name they always threw out the first quart or a bit more with in a very few miles. I have owned many and still do drive one and it has been completely Rebuilt but still throws the first quqrt out through the Dip stick and exhaust. I always ran mine a quart low and that saves me the first quart.

with the luck y'all have with engines, guaranteed..... every piston has stuck rings and zero compression. as far as you are in that thing pop pistons out enough to check rings. be such a bummer to replace valves and put back together to find zero compression.
