If you talking business Jon Jones would be the worst pick cause he will retire after he fights Alex and it’s a lose lose situation for UFC. However if Aspinall beats Alex it will raise his stardom and UFC can milk him for the next 6-7 years.

I didn't watch this video at all yet but this is what I think about Jones situation.. Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall is the fight IMO. Given Jon's LHW career I'd rather see him fight Aspinall and then retire win or lose, after Stipe of course. UFC is heavily pushing Alex and obviously for good reason I understand it.. It just seems "rushed" in some sense. I also feel the same way in regards to Sean Strickland.. Personally I think it's a better storyline for Jon if he were to beat Stipe and then go on to beat Aspinall, whom many consider the next TOP guy at HW for years to come... I want to see more from Jon Jones at HW, I don't think he's been tested at HW at all.. and while I truly respect Stipe I'm not sure if he can give Jones that test all things considered... Can stipe match Jon's wrestling / grappling? I don't know... but somehow I think Aspinall would represent more of a challenge in that regard than Pereira would. All I'm saying is I don't wanna see Jon Jones go to HW run through two fighters with relative ease and then retire. I don't care if it's because of skill or what.. True goat status to me for Jon Jones is to beat the aging bull in Stipe and going on to beat the young lion coming for his neck at HW in Aspinall.. If Jones fights Stipe and retires or takes the pereira fight.. despite it's EPIC greatness his legacy in the game will slightly lose some value for what could've been... at least in the eyes of some I would think. ALL these fighters posses greatness... I guess the question is in what way or how do they want their greatness to be remembered.

Jon and poatan want to train together, but if they wanted to fight they could easily skip aspinall and rakic, even ankalaev could be easily postponed, they have very weak resumes and jon and poatan gain nothing for beating them
