This is my First comment always thought you were out of my league. Really enjoy your recent builds and everyone always thought I was crazy thinning mud and resin. I built medic units for a old timer and he Was A one coat wonder.He Could Flow the material out like nobody's business. Saved me thousands of hours sanding over my career. Same techniques you use Old School. Thank you for teaching Aiden when we are gone these young bucks need to carry on the Tradition..oh yeah I can see why the Misses could distract you. Focus Chad focus.! Love you guys.

I used to own a 1936 Hupmobile. They used an engine made by Continental. How much of the design was by Hup and how much by Continental I don't know, but they did have a high nickel block - notice the lettering on the left side of the block. Firing order 1 5 3 6 2 4 electric system 6V + ground. Will turn over and start on 12V just don't grind and grind the starter or you could burn it out.

Dealing with the same issue on a 1957 Buick Wagon today! Can’t get the 364 Nailhead to start (been parked since 1972). What are the odds… I worked on it almost all day and then come in to watch your channel and you’re working on something similar! Hope you got it running. Tomorrow is another day for me!

Almost running but no gas, that's a pain in the ass. I think as soon as you have a gas supply you will get it running it's a 1934 Hupmobile flathead 6 you can tell it wants to Chad will get the flathead going. Thanks Mark Dutka

You need to set up a small tank and hook it up to the card so it can get gas pumping. Just pouring gas down the card isn’t going to work unless you have more to follow it up

Great filming job ...again. Compared to many sites. Only possible through careful panning by Jolene. Reminds me of starting a 6 cylinder 1940's Chevrolet Pickup engine lying on its side in a junk yard in 1961.
@westonward7353 жыл бұрын
Usually you are on the ball but it looked like a real mess today. I can't believe you didn't have at least 2 cans of starting fluid along with gas. A new set of plugs would have been handy also. The engine wants to start, it needs more fuel.

The engine won't run on air. You need a gas supply. It's trying it's best to start and will only run for a second on the fuel you're pouring in the carb. You need to keep a supply trickling in the carb. My 2 cents.

If you’re not using any type of charging on that car you better bring along a couple extra batteries to track days. Frankly your not talking about a great deal of weight but you can be talking about one hell of a pile of inconvenience with no charging.

Something that always helps me start an old engine is (if you can) pre fill the float bowl with fuel through the vent opening then it should run for up to 30 seconds in some cases if the fuel pump is not yet pulling fuel from the source. One of the tricks i learned. lol.

Many years ago I bought a 55 Ford pick up, all original V8 y block. Something like 239 cubes. I bought it from the original owner who was frustrated with it. It had a positive ground system. Someone had hooked up a few things backwards, including the battery and once I sorted it out I drove that truck for years. That old Y block really had some torque. Of course the truck was very light to begin with lol
@Ricas-hq4bx3 жыл бұрын
Mr BAD CHAD, your gonna end up burning the starter , plus you dont have enough gas in the carburetor bowl so it wont stay on
