@@bruh.2516 Maybe it's because alot of people are still learning it, but for me personally as an OW player, transferring the skills you learnt in OW into MR is quite easy. Lots of common aspects in gameplay like cooldown management, ult management, pushing as a team, holding a chokepoint effectively, learning your matchups, etc. The only thing different is that it's third-person so you have more FoV. Even some of the heroes play very similarly to the heroes in OW, i.e Widowmaker/Black Widow, Hanzo/Hawkeye, Wrecking Ball/Venom

@@KKJazz My Man first just game just game out, second every character feels powerful; even the weakest of the roster is strong in different ways. Everyone has their place in this game which is honestly insane; you cant compare that to counterwatch 2. Higher levels of play are 10000% more team oriented, (if you played the alpha/beta) right now everyone is playing quickplay which is full of new players and people trying new things which might make it seem not as team oriented but once rank releases/it settles you'll see team play is important. For example half the support ults are for either countering at proper times, and it honestly feels like youre playing chess in the sense of when do you ult. then theres also strats with the team ups, in addition to picking heroes like widow& Mantis together for 1 shots etc. The game is just getting started, and will hopefully grow into something fantastic

Overwatch is still a very top played game by the stats despite what some might wish. That said I think Marvel Rivals is destined for success and will be really popular for at least 12 months. Its more because blizzard is a demonic company that has been milking hero shooter enjoyers for years by providing less than the bare minimum because there's no other decent casual hero shooter on the market that can compete. most ow fans have hated ow for years and rivals might pull that fanbase over because it's legitimately a great game and had an insanely smooth launch. I personally would go back to overwatch if they released the story mode as they marketed it years ago with the talent trees and lots of missions. Blizzard really acted like pve was gonna be a huge focus, the seeds were always there with seasonal events, then they scrapped the project for God knows why. They've hurt the community more than provided to it for like 5 years now, and some might consider that a generous timeframe. Overwatch can die as far as I'm concerned. Overwatch players have stockholm syndrome or haven't played long enough to see all the bullshit blizzard has pulled

@@GalactoseGalaxy rivals is good yeah but you literally cant deny the majority of artstyle, gameplay and ui decisions were just ripped from overwatch i find myself looking at early overwatch character icon renders and then looking back at rivals current style and seeing a striking resemblance rivals also isnt fast enough in the way that its combat forces you to play, majority of the time you dont have a choice to dodge one of the bajillion aoe moves / ults in the game (why are alot of the ults aoe in the first place). and then the optimization for the game is just completely atrocious, its not running on top tier builds as well as it should be running games like overwatch at 600 fps

Idk but I’ll say this. A few friends and I played overwatch today only to be met by guys smurfing their nuts off to ruin the fun for casuals. We hopped on rivals and had an absolute blast. I accidentally played for 3 HOURS. I’m pushing 30 so I haven’t done that in a while 😂

@@t.7124 It has everything right for competitive integrity that is enough for an E-Sports game. The only problem in these kinds of team based games is SBMM. It's super frustrating, even if you win, you are punished for it. Example.. "Oh, cool. I'm on a win streak" > MMR decides to place me with shit teammates and I'm expected to carry 1v9 instead of placing me with equally skilled teammates at a higher MMR. You can only improve if you play against stronger enemies, not obtain shitty teammates. Even if Rivals has SBMM.. everything is broken and you can be cheap to overcome that barrier of shit teammates.. for the most part.

@@Kyynele I'm not defending OW2. It's been a mistake for sure. But a big part of the 5v5 was to reduce visual noise to make spectating easier. Because OW2 was developed when OWL was doing decently well, their focus was taken off the gameplay experience. If they had actually just kept OW1 going with big splashy patches and turned it into this monetization system, it'd be doing better than it is now. My comment was more being sad because this made me miss OW1 with how zany and high energy it is.

I do agree for the most part with the idea that people have a comfort game and would rather go back to it rather than create a new connection with a different game that hits the same niche. However, I feel as though not everyone feels that way. I used to play cod, a lot, all the way back to BO1. I remember the day that BO2 came out and how excited my friend and I were. Anyway, later on when the second MW2, AKA, MWII came out, I got it, I played it, and it was fun, I loved the how fast paced it was, it got my brain going, but it just felt like Activision stopped caring, they only cared about money. So I didn't stop playing because I didn't like the game, and I really want to get the newest COD and play it, but it just feels wrong to give money to a company like that. I hope that people for whatever reason finally do enough to show Activision that not caring about a game and releasing a new one and a new one and a new one, has consequences. Honestly I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game. It does have the expected balancing issues that all new multiplayer games tend to have but usually that gets a bit better after a couple months. Also one of the main reasons I stopped playing overwatch is because so many people treated casual like comp and this is a breath of fresh air

As someone you used to play a lot of og overwatch before overwatch 2, i kind of like this game but kind of don’t. The main reason i don’t is, just like overwatch if you get bad teammates there really isn’t much you can do. And there are already a lot of sweaty players, which kinda turns me off from playing the game. I also feel that characters have next to no jump and that the movement is too slow. However when i get a good match, and have the opportunity to actually work with my teammates i enjoy my time on the game. Will this kill overwatch? Probably not, however it could be more popular than overwatch
