Great conversation. Love what's happening in the sport. Jett has really helped it be exciting partially by his riding and partially by creating a higher bar for other riders, causing them to up their game. And, all the new bikes that have come in and are coming in. The scary thing is is that he's going to get better and better. Throw in up and coming US riders and foreign ones like Prado. Mind blowing. So exciting.

Eli is a Great Rider when he's on his game like Ryan V. Or Chad Reed just naming a few who gets those random wins and championships on and off early or late in their career. But history has proven riders like McGrath and Jett are those who absolutely dominate in their prime. It's very rare to have riders like those guys but it's a different level of talent. Eli has 5 national titles as he won a 250 National Championship too. I respect how down to earth John was. He didn't expect a teenage Eli to compete with grown men equally. He was giving him the time to grow into his body and strength and he felt the whole industry needed to factor that in with more rides. I agree fully with that, they give up on dudes before they're done growing mentally and physically.
