Edit: Zloyfet messaged me to clarify some things. They said they basically just wanted this to be there way of donating, and primarily they intended just for me to be able to get C6 Sethos and wish on a banner that would not end up costing me resources by getting a new character. Point being, they were well intentioned, but things could've been communicated better (they also said English was not their first language). If I get primos like this in the future, I will also avoid muddling things by back and forthing myself and just say I'm not going to wish if I don't think it makes sense to do so. I may set a policy in the future that I'm not going to make a video if people do this in the future. But I dunno, it's hard to resist opportunities for making videos lol. In this case I felt I had some good things I said worth making a video for, and my hope is to discourage Zloyfet in the future from doing so, but part of me thinks making this video may encourage them to do it again. I appreciate the primos, but please don't send me any. I can afford to spend a little bit of money on the game to get characters if I feel it makes sense (I can't go crazy with it though, part of why I was originally planning to skip Chasca), and in this case I had decided Sethos didn't make sense to go for. If Zloyfet wants, I will reimburse them for the primos they gave me (they mentioned during the livestream me getting them C1 Mauvika), but tbh this is the last time I am gonna offer that. I've said not to do this enough (to them specifically), that at this point it feels kinda pointless to keep telling them not to do this.

Their condescending attitude in their chat messages is really rubbing me the wrong way. Urging you to do something you don't want to do -- especially for money -- and then giving you grief and guilt tripping you for something they voluntarily did comes off as entitled. If they really want something they should use their money to do it themselves. If I were in your place and this happened again I'd put my foot down and refuse to use the primos and make any more content related to them to discourage this kind of parasocial behavior and treatment of yourself

Offering the reimbursement was fine when you hadn't spent the primos because eventually you would buy them, but after using them on this banner is crazy. I 100% think you should not be offering things like this again, because It allows viewers to effectively force you to spend money on something you didn't want (in this case spend money for sethos/nahida when you were intending to save it for ororon and chasca) while they lose nothing effectively exploiting your kindness to see more gacha. This is especially the case if they did it repeatedly and you told them not to since it borders on malicious (i do not know the details of past situations so i can't speak on whether it's intentional or not). Of course it's your choice if you want to or not and make them regret it less and i don't wish bad for Zloyfet in any way. And i'm sure you know all of this but i still wanted to say it.

Its just worse in gatcha games because the characters aren't free like OW or other hero shooters. Just a quirk of playing these games, most people aren't like that.

The only way this video is uncomfortable is for Soluna's sake. A viewer sending him primos is that viewer's choice, however later pressuring him into pulling because "oh but I funded you uwu" is straight up vile. Streamers are not your playthings, and their accounts are, whoop-de-do, THEIR accounts. If Sol doesn't want c3 Nahida, he shouldn't be forced to roll for a c3 Nahida just because someone wasted their money *literally making the choice for him* This, and the fact that people can refund those purchases later, is why the outside sources that only need your UID is so scary for content creators

Long time lurker in your streams and videos here! Man, the guy wanted to basically control your account and your pulls with money, I could tell how uncomfortable you were trying to explain you don't need to pull on the banners, such an unfortunate situation! I don't know how it's like to stream (obviously), but I feel like you don't have to explain yourself, just saying 'thanks, I'll use them for (Chasca/Ororon)!' should be enough in this case, maybe it will discourage this habit of forced top ups to happen again.. On another note, your story with C2 Nahida is resonating with me a lot, in the first 4 months I started playing I got three double 5 star ten pulls, I was incredibly lucky. But I thought, as a beginner in the whole gacha mechanics, that this is how it's like when wishing, so I ended up spending lots of money in the following months on characters/weapons I didn't really need, but I pulled for the thrill of double 5 star drops, which never came again after those first 4 months. I stopped pulling on every banner, saving for months now for securing C6 on Wanderer which is the only one I constantly use and enjoy, and the experience with the game overall is way better now ^^

Hmm. Your theory makes sense. I played free to play for half a year and just had average luck. Now after Xilonen came up I wished for her and got her C0 with winning the 50/50. Funny thing is that I had 60 wishes left so after spending all of them I won 50/50 again and then I spent some money to get the monthly pass and won the 50/50 again after just 30 wishes. Is this the trap? Should I stop spending here because "luck" ran out?

yeah id stop there. they take that dopamine hit and you have no guarantee youll get more of her in the next 179 pulls. thats a few hundred bucks right there. and ur excitement for getting her may become regret and bitterness. if anything, id say by a print to hang up of her if u like her that much, and save up primos for when she comes back around :) unless ur a millionaire. then a constellation or ten will do no dent to ur wallet lol

Yes, that is what constellations exist for, imo. So that even when you get lucky its made to make you want more. In your case thankfully it seems like you didnt have to spend too much for it. When it comes to should you have stopped or not I think its a question of what the state of your account is and how you enjoy the game. If you dont really like playing around with the combat much, constellations (and weapons) are generally irrelevant and very much not worthwhile for the cost of getting them, regardless of money spending, relative to the value gained from new characters. Thats a generalization though, and ultimately it will depend on your preferences and the state if your account. Eventually you may have a specific subset of characters you prefer playing and the main way to improve their dmg is through weapons/constellations. Imo the smartest approach if interested in constellations but if you want to avoid gettijg baited early on is to just not go for constellations or what not on the first banner. By the time a character gets a rerun, you will have had enough time to play with the C0 unit, learn how they work, know if you got bored of them, and hopefully understand what exactly youd gain from something like C2 Xilo having been used to C0 Xilo for months. In the time between C0 and the rerun banner you can also then have plenty of opportunities to evaluate the relevance of other units being released to you that may have otherwise been inaccessible to acquire (or very pricey) due to spending wishes on the initial banner. Thats what I shouldve done for Nahida. If I recall I happened to have a guarantee saved when Nahida had her first rerun, which I couldve used to get her C2 for free. So I spent $300 due to impatience and gambling dopamine high unnecessarily, basically.

I’ve been playing for a year. I’ve bought the battle pass and welkin moon since I’ve started. Saved up and used 270 wishes on this Nahida banner for C2 (had C0) lost twice but it’s fine. Got C6 for Xinque and Sethos (didn’t have him before) but only C2 for Kuki.

There is another content creator (I can't remember who at the moment) who doesn't want people to gift them genesis crystals for various reasons, so they have a policy that they will use them ONLY to buy skins, which discourages people from doing this. You could institute a similar policy.

I was really happy with my pulls, I wished on Nahida's banner because I *really* wanted C2 Kuki. I do want Chasca but wouldn't be mad if I got Nahida. I got 3 copies of Xingqiu (bringing him to C4) before the last 10 pull turned gold. Second to last I got the copy of Kuki I needed and last was Tignhari, so now I'm guaranteed Chasca!

I wished on Kinich’s banner and was hoping to get Cheveruse. Spent maybe 84 pulls and got Kinich (I wanted him btw). I put another 45 pulls on his banner. I started with no Thoma, Sara, or Cheveruse. I think Sara and Thoma are now C5 and Cheveruse said no. Yet somehow I do two ten pulls on Xilonen’s banner, thankfully lose 50/50, and get the Candace I wanted. It’s both disappointing and hilarious that I spent around 129 pulls and did not get the Cheveruse I wanted, but I did 20 pulls and got the Candace I wanted. At least I’m guaranteed for Chasca now so thank you Cheveruse lol

I rolled for Kinich because I wanted c2 Sara (had her c0 for *multilple fucking 5 stars ever since she released* ) and as many Chevreuses as I could get. Got Kinich (don't care about his playstyle so he's still lvl 20, but he's very nice for exploration) and within now, the pulling of one Raiden, one Kokomi, one Kinich and probably some blessedly lost 50/50s, I finally pulled that bitch *right after Kinich* I hate pulling for 4* I really like Ororon but I'm unsure if I want to risk my guarantee because I feel Chaska would join Kinich and Alhaitham at perpetually lvl 20 because I just don't particularly care for their playstyle

They chose to with their own money after you’ve specifically told them NOT to, and when you refused they resorted to guilt tripping and it was so clear you were uncomfortable. I learned the 4 star lesson on last chevy banner. Needed 5 chevys, 2 thomas and 2 saras. Obviously wanted chevy the most but i use thoma and knew id use sara if i had c6. Got 12 thomas, 7 sara and 0 chevy lol

I got one of those monthly passes (in advance of the banner) and thank god I did because one of the last 4 stars I got was chevy. I went from 0 sara to c3, 2 thoma and like 4 weapons. I didn’t even get raiden either it was keqing :(

@MellowGirl2000 i kinda wish I had went for raiden cons now since I went so deep. Ended up getting kinnich and then losing the next 50/50 which led to me getting nahida finally just 10 minutes ago lol but might have had a shot for c2 raiden. Keqing is still solid though at least. I don't play her because I have raiden and clorinde and play lisa a lot but it's not like keqing is bad at all.

4 stars are rough to get. I got extremely lucky with early 5 stars even though I lost my 50/50, and should be able to get Chasca who I was planning to pass on for Neuvillette....but after 100 pulls I didn't even get a single Xingqiu, plenty of Kuki and Sethos cons though. Guess I'll have to wait till he's in the shop.

I have all chars C6 from the banner, apart from C1 Kuki. I did 60 pulls. No kuki :) Now i cant risk pulls to get a copy of Ororon, will have to wait for Mavuika couse she s whats important

Pulled on Nahinda and get her at something like 80 pitty, really wanted cons for Kuki and Xingque. ended up with c3 Sethos 1 Kuki and 1 Xingque, and a Sucrose. I still wanna bull for more Kukis and Xingques but I don't like my chances

I won my first 50/50 on the nahida banner I am quite happy for this that I won but I didn't got a single kuki instead I got 6 sethos and only 1 xingque

@@funny_af1997 congrats on Nahida! She’s absolutely amazing. Xingqiu is great too! I hope you get more copies of him, but he’s also in lantern rite (for free). I also hope you can snag a kuki as well (she works great at c0 tbh), but c6 Sethos is great! His bis weapon is a 3 star, and he’s a great 4 star dps that can work with Nahida.

It happened to me with xilonen, i lost the first 50:50 then i got 2xilonens in a 10pull (hard pity) soo I said "well c2 is close" but than i lost the next fifty:fifty(hard pity again) and whene i finaly got the c2 i also got jean on the same pull :/ soo chasca coming?... beybey 300pulls

sethos is cursed when I was playing silly wisher because why the hell not he took over 100 pulls and 2 stars to even get C0 he really has like lower chance then anyone else and in game he took me like 50 pulls to get to C1 I got double sethos on the last ten pull when he released 11:02 gaslighting your self that was 8080 so 50 pulls

I went to c2 my nahida.. lost 50/50 and won the next 2 Nahida.. all in all 210 pulls and got C6Kuki(prev C2), C6 XQ(prev c2), C6Sethos(prev none).. got lucky with Sethos whom I would probably not gonna use.. is he strong?

I'm extremly close to pity and cannot wish on these banners even so my XQ c4 and Kuki c0. I want their cons, yes, but even if someone gave me crystals, I would still refuse to pull, it's not about content at this point, since event 5* is unwanted. Unnessesary and not worth it. Or it should've been not max top up, but full pity donated, idk. Seems toxic anyway.

You are the 1st person ever who says they really like sethos. Little rant here- I have this 2021 account that i just recovered. I remember that i stopped playing in 2.7, after losing 50/50 to jean and getting a guarantee to xiao. I started playing just a few days ago, and have managed to pull 1 sethos, 2 xinqui and 1 nahida. Is it time to save or sethos is worth pulling more cons and building?

So, probably not many people will see that at this time, but there's couple of things I want to say. I contacted mr. strimmer and clarified my reasoning behind giving him primos. I apologized for making him and chat uncomfortable and assured that I won't pressure him into doing anything in the future. And if that happens that I want to give him primos for specific character/weapon/constellation, I will ask beforehand if he wants it and willing to risk loosing pity. That's pretty much it. Thanks to those people who were moderate in their statements and especially to the person who said that i just wanted to have fun watching my favourite streamer do pulls, even if I can't find this comment anymore
