Hey guys! I’m currently sourcing parts for my 2000 Honda Civic, which I will be swapping with the current gen L15B7. I know this has been done once before in an ek with your mounts/axles. I am trying to figure out wiring, and if I can use the factory engine harness with the swap. I will be running the factory ecu with the ktuner v2. Any advice on getting the factory harness to work in the ek chassis?

Hi...I saw your video fixing speed sensor on k20, I have a accord 2004 trans. whit ep3 harness, I found a plug on the tsx harness that fit the speed sensor but I don't know if the cable order is the same, can you help me please? Thank you in advance

Hey (I'm assuming) Brian,
I was saving this for the live feed but it's too long for that format as is. Short question is what would be required to install a K24Z3 or equivalent (say, from an '08+ Accord or '09+ TSX) into a chassis that already has an '04 K24a2 swapped in? Looking for ease of transition over outright power if there are better choices.

Everything has been running well for the last 1000 miles but older engines have all but dried up or are high mileage. Snagging a newer Z3 would be my only reliable source in the future should calamity strike. I'm aware of the crank angle sensor that KMiata has made a $300 cover for. Was curious about other changes besides header/exhaust changes from the integrated exhaust port. One final note, my a2 has been tuned to run on 87 and doesn't knock. Hoping to do the same for future powerplants, she's an aspiring street daily.

Nice, the thing with K swap in an EK is the ground clearance of the oil pan, which is why i am leaning B swap.

Hello my name is john and I see you doing a lot of swaps on K-24s and I was wondering on my EM2 if I can swap out my D-17 A2 for a B-20 engine like the way they do with K-24 are K-20 and if they make brackets for either one?

Hey Brian I know that a little while ago you talked about auto k swaps. Are you still gonna get to that? I’m one of the people out here that would really love to get that done. I’ve got a 97 del sol si d16y8 and I’m hoping that one day I could put an automatic k24a2 tsx swap in or the k24v7 with the 8spd dct from my ilx into it.

I am running a 03 ep3 5spd trans on 03 rsx engine, but wonder about the shifter mechanism in the trans itself, if I need to change that assembly to the rsx version. It kinda looks like a t with spring around bottom. Shift selector mechanism I think

Just use the RSX shifter and cables. The mechanism in the transmission doesn't need to change.

Doing a DC2 Integra K24A1 swap. Will an 05 Element harness and ECU from an auto work for this build? And what transmission would you recommend? I want to go AWD but they're hard to come by. Might just do the Accord trans like you had in your budget EG videos

The 05 (and 06) Element auto ECU can be modified by KTuner to work with your swap. Adapter harnesses made for the KTuner ECU will need to be modified to work with the Element harness. Using the Accord transmission can be a temporary setup while you look for the AWD transmission. You can switch to the AWD transmission with a few new mount brackets and different shifter.

Not really. The shifter works differently than the Accord manual shifter.

I have a toyota tacoma 99 that I was thinking of k swapping. Is this doable with a rear wheel drive? I can find engine but what kind of transmission would I use? Thank you for any response.

You would need a transmission adapter plate so you so you could use the stock transmission or other suitable trnammission. There are transmission adapter plates already available for a few RWD transmissions. Check out Bill Hincher on Facebook. He makes custom adapter plates and may have a solution already.

I have an 03 accord which is throttle by cable. I'm doing a swap from an 05 tsx and to get it running I want to use all of the drive by wire components from the tsx. I've studied the different pinouts from the ecu and it looks like the only difference in the ecu is the egr and tps vs no egr and throttle pedal position sensor wires. By using my tsc harness this will all be bolt on and plug and play. But the drive by wire relay (dbwrly) Is in the dash harness. Can I use my stock accord dash harness and just ad the relay by tapping into my fuse box? Idk if this has been done before. I know the easiest solution is just to get hondata ecu or comparable but I lack money for that. But I have a complete tsx. So parts are already here.

If you use the TSX drive by wire ecu you must use the tsx dash, wiring, gas petal, abs, tb, engine harness from the same year as your ecu.

That would require a fairly thick adapter plate. The K20C bell housing is much larger and the flywheel is much larger.
