@@askewcat3209 Wrong. I can say with absolute certainty after playing both games that Eternal is way faster in gameplay than 2016. If you don't see it, then either you are a skilled player playing on too low a difficulty or you aren't playing it right. Jump pads, portals, monkey bars, dash, ballista. all these new means of traversal and increased speed of demons make the speed of gameplay go way up. Eternal took the base formula of 2016 and cranked everything up to 11 and added some new mechanics to keep it fresh and interesting.

Brick mason here. There is a type of diamond studded chain saw that’s used to cut mainly square holes into block or concrete walls. For when the hvac guys forgot something. What everyone says Doom is: "Bruh, it's non-stop action. An orgy of blood and guts and IDGAF violence!" What Doom actually is: Five minutes of action followed by twenty minutes of wandering around, backtracking, and platforming so you can figure out how to get onto a tiny ledge that you can only see on your map (which you check every thirty seconds to make sure you're going the right way), only to finally get there and collect some secret collectable that isn't really a secret because it was revealed on the map.

It honestly astounds me that people continue to think that Christians had a problem with this game. The people who had problems with it were proto Karens with a Christian bent who didn't have a manager to complain to. Doomguy and subsequently the Doomslayer is a celibate Catholic (Which means he could become pope if he was so inclined) and technically a saint empowered by an archangel. You can't get much more holy than that. Granted, and MAJOR SPOILERS here, the final revelation of the Ancient Gods part 2 is kind of sacrilegious as it implies that the creator G/god of that universe basically became their Satan analogue but still, you're a man too angry to die, filled with righteous rage as you rip and tear demons on a one man determinator's journey to stack bodies in capital ACH EYY double hockeystick Hell until it is done, and then you'll climb that mountain of corpses out. You're basically a Templar, but with more guns.
