Just saw this thanks for the shout out! Ironically oly lifts hurt my thumbs more than hooking on one hand deadlifts. One set of 15 at 225 on powercleans and my thumbs are sore for a week!

Yeah cuz you did a set of 15 XD

Whoa whoa whoa you really triggered me at the end there. No judgement please. Jk. You put serious work in bro. Above my level. But I am tryna hit your strength standards. Squat 435, bench 275 but my DL is stuck as 455. It comes off the ground easy and gets stuck just below my knee . I squat a lot

Thanks for answering my question. I think im gonna reach the standards pretty soon, in a few weeks. My goal is to squat 250 kgs and pull 300 kgs. I don’t care much about the bench but a 140 kgs bench will be enough for me

ayo time to do some jefferson cleans i guess?

Those strength standards are interesting, I would be interested to see that but for lighter bodyweights (I'm like 74kg atm). I have a 180/185kg deadlift, a 135kg squat (shooting for 150) and a 80kg bench, even if I never bench as an oly weightlifting practicioner

I train in a gym full of powerlifters and strongmen, I am also a coach and you standard for a guy in his 30 reassured me lol. Except the squat that is always lacking. I know it doesn't matter to compare but well... haha

Multiplied your standards by my bodyweight divided by 200 and it was almost exactly the classic 2/3/4 plates standard lol (I do realise than strength doesn’t linearly scale with bodyweight of course). Are these 1RMs? And do you have OHP or chin up rep/weighed chin up standards?

Do you think twitchiness in sports can be improved (explosive first few steps)? If so, what are the best ways to work on it

Do you think it's fine to do just breath normally without the valsalva during an exercise if done for higher reps say like a 15-25 on the bench press or front squat? I've been doing calisthenics exclusively and weighted calisthenics and just recently started going gym trying to lift heavy and all. It seems like trying to breathe and brace every rep or hold breathe for a few reps is just diminishing my performance on higher rep sets even tho my cardio is on point. (for reps below 8 it helps) Also for things like pull ups and dips I've only ever maxed out and done heavy weights on them with regular breathing pattern no valsalva, do you think it's beneficial to create that extra iap for upper body bodyweight movements?

tried jefferson deadlifts? i like them less than hack but theyre interesting feeling and have the same low back sparing benefit if you need to save it for something else.

Sir I only do bodyweight stuff like plyometrics and explosive push ups. How many sets and reps should I do if I only do bodyweight exercises? My goal is to improve power, explosiveness and build some good physique if ever. But my top priority is power and explosiveness.
@willratelle80278 ай бұрын

@@willratelle8027 i don't have access on gym sir. I just wanna know if low reps like 3-5 reps are still good for bodyweight exercises for power and explosiveness?

What do you recommend for variety for weighted pull-ups and dips? Just change the grip, maybe rings? I’ve seen you do them as “dead stop” before. Anything else?
