Good information because I have been out of nitro for 15 years so I'm headed back in fresh and open to different opinions because most information is good information!

Matthews Toy Chest thanks! I have heard multiple times that byrons in going out of business but a main hobbies still has alott
@Matthewstoychest4 жыл бұрын
Zach H they did go out of Business amain only has what they have in stock. I bought a lot of fuel from amain before it’s all gone.

Matthews Toy Chest is top fuel only one mixture and why do you use traxxas everyone that I’ve heard talk about it calls it garbage I am amsuming it’s cause the really low nitro percentage and really high oil percentage
@Matthewstoychest4 жыл бұрын
Zach H it only comes in one mixture. I use it cause it has a very high oil percent. I helps keeps the temperature up. It’s great as break in fuel but it sucks for everything else

I havd the same losi and having trouble breaking it in
@traxxasrc104 жыл бұрын
Personally I’ve never had a separate break in fuel. I use whatever I want to use to run it later when break in is done.

So if the engine don’t turn off in 3 seconds which way am I turning the low speed?
@Matthewstoychest Жыл бұрын
Generally, you wanted to be 3 to 5 seconds. If it’s turning off in less than three seconds, and it just instantly dies out, you need to richen the mixture up. If it goes on for like 6 to 8 seconds, you need to lean it out. What you’re looking for is the engine to run for roughly 3 to 5 seconds, and then very slightly raise up an rpm, and then die out.

Are you using Taxxas 20% or 33% for the break in process?
@Matthewstoychest3 жыл бұрын
I use traxxas 20% fuel for break in then go to byrons 30/11 after break in.

What break in process do you recommend? I've seen so many different methods out there, just picked up this same RTR truggy for my birthday and haven't put fuel in it yet. My last truck (nitro stampede, atleast 10 years old) is still running the stock Pro .15 motor on 20% traxxas fuel. Believe it or not, I took that pede out of the box, added fuel, and ripped it from day one. No break in on that one. She's still running strong a decade later lol. I wanna be a bit more careful on the Losi this time around!

camaroboi13 everyone has there own break in method. The main thing is that you want to make sure that you are doing heat cycles. The first tank I run it at idle (with wheels off the ground) letting the engine get to 200-220 degrees. After that Tank I turn the truck off and let it cool for 30-45 minutes. Next tank is truck on ground and running it from idle to 1/4 throttle then again after that tank letting it cool for 30-45 minuets. You will want to repeat these steps so the third tank will be up to 1/2 throttle then cool then 4th tank up to 3/4 then cool then the 5th tank up to full throttle then cool. After that I generally go easy on truck for 7 more tanks then on the 13th tank thats when I start the tuning process and go crazy on the truck. Hope this helps have a blast with the truck.
