Same boat! I learned to play June 26 and 1100 so far but I have barely played the past month mainly just been studying. I bought Alex Chessable courses for caro and London but I have a feeling when I finish them and play more than a few games per day I could be 1500 or so pretty quickly. Good luck to you!

You have the amazing ability to make your high rated opponents tilt so badly that they just help you checkmate them. Consistent applications and understanding of chess principles you teach can accomplish this. The last game with that final queen move was truly a Alexander the Great maneuver.

There are so many situations where in the Pawn Storm variation of the Jobava, the engine suggests King f2 instead of long castle because of black's potential to stack up an attack on the queen side flank. Would you ever go for this idea in a game? Would love to see your take on it.

You make Jobava feel so simple... I struggle with it around 1300-1400. I was mainly an e4 player around 1500. After experimenting with openings my rating kind of dropped. I guess I see tactics well, but I don't know how to play strategically... I hope I'll be able to recover. :) I always like your videos.

24:30 Glad h5 made the video. I agree historically (passed couple of years at least) it was very rare. But that's no longer the case. Got it like 3x in a row recently. Seen it probably 10x over the past month and a half. So I suspect someone released a video with this as move to subvert the JoLo pawn storm. Flank moves demand center strikes. Easy adjustment.

Hey recently hit 1900 following your advice. I do seem to notice however I am finding a lot of cheaters in the rapid pool one is getting banned and my rating fixed every 5 days or so. I might be a hater, but in my opinion the Jobava is really just a cheap trick which has completely infested chess. White handicaps his c pawn from moving just so he can play a 1 move threat, seems like a trick to me no?
