Did you file a claim for Trespass to Goods? I read about a case, where a cop put his hand into the car to remove the car keys and was stopped by the driver, who was arrested. The case was dismissed and the cop was fined for trespass to Goods. The Trespass to Goods Act 1997. You could still file a claim now, you have the evidence.
