Winter Rose Shopping With Me - David Austin

I prefer the quality from Heirloomroses, except the price is high. Heirloomroses delivers the plant in pot and Davidaustinroses ships bareroots.

Do the roses come in good condition? I’m scared to order plants online

For bareroots, the shipping time for them is at the beginning of spring. They arrive with no leaves or soil. You just plant them, and the leave come out within a couple weeks. I prefer bareroot roses because they are grafted on already established rootstock. Therefore, they bloom within 2 months into the ground. If they die, David Austin would refund your money as long as you take photo of the dead plant. I order directly from the David Austin roses website. It is the most economic way. There are other websites like heirloomroses (more on the expensive side), Jackson Perkin, Edmunds roses... I find the roses are healthy in general. It is nearly impossible to find good rose varieties where I am. Online ordering is the only way to go for me and I'm so grateful it exists.
