Yes the breeds that have long lean bodies love to run. My niece has a GSHP (same breed as Lando) and he loves to run - my Standard Poodle does as well.

It’s almost like the lake froze so Lando could run! I hope the adult kids enjoy their time away. Oh enjoy some sun! The winter lake is a constant learning experience. The visibility is hard! What is wrong with those fish? Enjoy that yummy dinner. Love how you all embrace each other. Lando knew the pack was not all together. Coffee, comfortable warm slippers and a wood stove! you guys need snow mobiles the faster speed would keep you un on the snow. there are competitions where they run snow mobiles across water so they might even be quite a bit safer than the snow dogs.

Wow!!!! What an Epic journey! Pete so glad you had a safe trip. Carol I cannot imagine what it was like trying to get across the snowed in lake to get to the airport. Caroline your eye for cinematography and editing is second to none! Peter what a powerful display of will power to get across the lake covered in that much snow! Dan the man rodeo style on the logs haha, and sure that cup of coffee at home was just the thing to warm you up. The guys fishing trip was very interesting. All that and the show stopper was Lando!!!! He was stretching it all out on the lake!!!!! What an awesome companion. Down here in Texas this week we are expecting an "attic blast". I sure think someone left the north barn door open... I can only imagine what it must be up your way! Stay warm family.

Look into heatline freeze protection systems for your lake water line have been using this in Manitoba cottage country for eight years no freeze up problems.

A snow mobile would be so beneficial to have for times of this kind of soft slushy snow. The snow mobile can go 40+ mph and just glide over the snow .`

Great video! The way you guys put up with the cold out there would make a Navy Seal shiver. I now live in Alabama where to me cold is 45 F. At this temperature I ride my motorcycle with heated gear. You guys are real outdoorsmen. I look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work.

Suggestion for next year. Get a two room tent that way you can have a mud room and then a sleeping area. Thats what I do in wet environments. Helps keep all my gear clean and dry.

Check out simple living Alaska….they have a video on a diesel powered heater for their fishing tent. Think it might be better than using propane 😉 Just a thought. Why wouldn’t you setup camp in “daylight?” Looked like a lot of fun 👍

You should look into getting a camping fire pit with legs and an ash pad for under it for use when ice fishing or camping. You can build a nice fire without melting the ice or snow and makes it easy to clean up ashes later. Add a grill and you can cook on it. It is also nice and safe to use when overlanding where there are no fire pits at the camp site. Great to see you out on the frozen lakes enjoying the winter season at your cabin.

Noticed you had a Zoleo device with you on this trip.. I bought one about a year ago & it has worked very well for me. Lot cheaper than an InReach. It's nice to be able to communicate with family members when I am out of cellphone range.

I see your instrument cluster display isn't working ( @ 1:45 mark) . I had that happen to me in Oct 2022 and new cluster took 3 months to arrive. At least its an easy 30 minute install once you have the new one.

Oh yes, @28:36 we have the puppy lying on a bed of softness looking like he leads a life of "abuse and misery".. Wow, what a great dog and what a dog's life he is living. So strange that at first I thought that this dog had rather strange coloring. Now it is the most beautiful dog on earth and the luckiest.
