I lost some good friends due to motorcycle accidents around the same year as you. I lost 3 people i knew. Have this song be your strength and hope. and hope you have a good christmas. also, this song isnt about blue eyes... its about being blue, depressed, down, life shitting on you but no matter what you wear a smile, a fake one, but a smile non the less. This is an old song by The Who. I just like LB version of it better.

The first time I really heard this song was in 2003. It was on an airplane, this song was playing when all the passengers were about to board. That was 20 years ago...I'm 30 years old now and I was 10 years old at the time when I heard this song with my mother. Since that day I associate this song with a lot of things, as soon as I hear it I always see myself on the plane with my mother....how quickly time flies. As a child I wanted to grow up quickly and now as an adult I want to be a child again. Rest in peace mom

I wasn’t the bad man. I have blue eyes. Wasn’t the sad man. Exactly to be hated by the bitch who told everyone the lies. I did nothing. But was ghosted by everyone we knew. I’m being humble. Guys don’t believe anything. Basically I was ghosted by all our mutual friends. I was 10 times better looking than her. Fell in love and after years she thought she was better than me. Not happening. She is miserable now. Asking me back. Fuck her. Love this song. Reminds me of the good old days. 90’s ruled. Fuck You LG

This song isn't talking about those who has the color blue eyes... Its talking about those who hide so much but you can still see it through their eyes... The color blue is usually associated with sadness. So many times I've seen people say this song is meant for those with blue eyes. No its meant for those who are in pain and emotional confusion and hide it... You can only hide so much of your soul but the eyes reveal all. I'm sorry for the rant but I had to get it out there Wow that's a lot of people Also I didn't mean to offend anyone just thought it would be a small comment close the bottom but here it is.

This song reminds me of my dad who’s had a lot of struggles and still has many. He has blue eyes and everyone else in close family has brown ones. Including me. He’s the one who got me thru everything, he’s helped me when he has his own problems and mental struggles. He had a hard time growing up and yet somehow made it thru and be someone great. I can’t help but wonder what he sees, and how he gets thru life. he never seems happy, and yet he’s always there no matter what, putting my family before himself. I hope one day I can understand him better and be someone he’s proud of.

I've liked this song since i was little then i heard it on supernatural and it bought me straight back to my childhood. This song has so much meaning for me. It helped me through my abusive childhood, everyone at school thought i was weird cause they didn't understand this song and thought it sounded too much like '"Adult" music. I grew up getting beaten by my Mother, and my Father was violent too. We never had food, in and out of foster care, didn't see my father for 8 years, had drunk people coming in and out of house. I know my childhood isn't as bad as some other people in the world, but it was hard for me. This song honestly saved me. Music is so strong in helping emotionally.

As a 60 something lookin forward to the next 60, this rendition gives me hope for our youth. I enjoyed it. Keep it up guys, keep it real. (This from a guy who listened to Lou Reid's Metal Machine music album 4 times in the 80s. I thought the ending was trick. Used to mess with my squadron mate's heads listening to it and wondering if they will recognize the subtle end, where it repeats a 3 minute track.

Depression is a silent and effective assassin. Exposure is it's kryptonite, sadly like an abusive partner it holds its victims hostage through fear and shame. It even pits it's victims against those who could help by planting seeds of irrational resentment. If you are suffering please don't hold it in, tell somebody trustworthy what you are going through so you can get the help you so deserve. For the rest of us It's our job to stay vigilant and make sure we give our loved ones every opportunity to ask for help

+kutabarekid Holy shit, dude. Recently going through the loss of my wife who decided I am no longer worth her love, I didn't realize how much I've been bottling up my feelings, trying to remain "strong" until I just read your post. Hiding my feelings has not been easy, yet it's what's constantly encouraged to the point of ridiculousness. "Stay strong", and "You'll be OK" are the two most common comments I hear, constantly. Why do I have to stay strong? When am I going to be OK? I just lost the love of my life. I've never felt more weak and powerless in my entire life. I know I'll eventually recover, but why do I have to rush it, or try to ignore it? Why do I have to stay strong? Because I'm a man? I feel like I'm bottling up my feelings and staying "strong" so the people around me feel better. How is that helping me? All I'm doing is making their lives easier. Fuck them. I'm sad and miserable and I need to be! If they don't like it I'll just avoid them so they won't have to shed a tear for me. I don't need anyone's pity. I just need to let my feelings out. If I have to do it alone then so be it. Thank you for opening my eyes.

You have gazed the pit of darkness and came back, you and the guy who answered the same. I will not tell meaningless crap disguised with epic battle-like words. But I am "proud" of you, and not like a doctor would be. I am proud because you have the courage to open your eyes every morning facing the pain that you didn't choose, because you are still breathing in sorrow and panic while some parts of society even treats you like nothing at all. I am proud that you have the bravery to live because you truly know the pain and so, with this knowledge you truly can feel and give love and so you are no "evil" and you did not deserved this. I know, I am a meaningless guy, a random comment on the web and you don't know me or my face. But i wanted to say it because i feel it as a human not a friend , a relative or a kind of doctor. And i really hope that i gave you the smile you deserve.
