Definitely not. Higher ups and CEOs have far more STRESSFUL things to handle. And in this case, they are in a pinch. If the organisational boat sinks, then they lose their value. They need the profits as well as the assets to make the profits. It's not as simple as it seems for these "HIGHER UPs".

Wipro is not even a proper IT company. Most of their business is BPO. Which is a fancy term for a call centre. Superficially it may seem TCS and Wipro do similar stuff but in reality TCS has some actual IT services with a small BPO service, while Wipro is mostly BPO with a tiny part in IT services. They are not the same.

I was working for wipro from 2019 to 2023. Generally its a conservative mindset company (Kanjoos). Ex: 1. They keep on push every project employees to find someway to bring more revenue from client. 2. my project client approved budget for 5 new developers. That means 5x revenue income to wipro. But my Wipro Account Head told me to take only 3 developers and he dont have budget for 5. 😮 I guess the company's top management is with bad leadership. They only try to squeeze out revenue from all seeds. No proper care for employee welfare.. If they continue the same behaviour for 2 more years, then this company will collapse for sure..

It is right decision to sack the middle management as there are a lot of non-techy middle management people doing nothing worthwhile but politics. There are too many of them costing too much to the project. I know a team of 5 people are managed by 3 middle level managers with various titles. Two of them have no idea about any stuff but simply schedule calls and doze off.
