How do you get refined ore?

You have to look at blue dots before building base. One will have one chem lab, another will have a drill and one will have a furance. Build base, put furance up and use it to refine your ore.

unfortunately I had to uninstall generation zero it became less fun for me with the crafting over haul

Honestly I had always used standard first aid kits over advanced, and they kinda got a buff with the uncapping of skill points (you can get the healing upgrade if you don’t have it already) and I can find adrenaline shots and grenades on corpses and in loot boxes. I kinda still don’t like it but it’s whatever
