Agree but the Erdtree locations are something else. Proximity and accessibility are distant friends more often than not and it's a little exasperating at times (imo).

The way I round Cerulean Coast was awesome. Went through a cave, ended up on the river, and just yolo sprinted my way downriver on Torrent, jumping from rock to rock like a parkour wizard, and then suddenly I was in a glorious field near the beachfront. Helluva time tbh

@@bjd3707 it probably is the only intended way, but I wasn't following road signs or quest markers or anything, just exiting a cave and choosing to turn left instead of right. I get so anxious in most open world games because the map is cluttered with collectibles, but Elden Ring's just... *_fun._*

it's an old exploit used a lot by the speedrunning community, as long as you fall to your death near a Stake of Marika, you'll be able to respawn next to it.

Not an exploit anymore, but a mechanic of the game. There is a fort west from the main entrance to scadu altus where you can only enter doing this. Or at least, is one of the intended ways of entering (I didn't find another way though), as you have a plank near a grace that is just over a marika statue. You drop down, die, and respawn inside the fort using it.

If you go to the spiritspring that leads from the marshes to the Fort of Reprimand, you can spiritspring jump in the opposite direction from the fort, and it'll take you down the cliff. At the bottom of that cliff is the Abyssal Woods. By all means, it should work, because the spiritspring prevents fall damage...

There is no area in the DLC that you can skip but shouldn't. At least not in the sense that it would ruin your savefile or story progression.

you can trivialize the ghostflame dragon or any undead with sword of epitaph ash of war buffing you, then use a holy scaling favourite weapon with sacred blade ash of war. you'll deal upwards 9k to 10k of damage with sacred blade, and you can also craft some sacred pot if you feel it wasnt broken enough.
