I hope you are in for some drama... I was about to see the band for the first time in 2017 (big fan of this album since 2001, my first favourite pseudo metal band) then right before the show was gonna happen i was hospitalized for a very serious brain related issue. Not sure if i was gonna make it through... Family members went to the show (encouraged by me), while I was in intensive care... And at the show my sis told about my situation to some radio folks with backstage connections and then they were so nice enough to try and get in contact with the band/management regarding my situation, but unsuccessful... Then after an unexpected succesful operation, i was released from the hospital after two weeks .... and like the next day at home i was on my laptop, and I read about Chester's death.... RIP :( That really hit me hard... but gave me the courage even more to get through the horribble ordeals I had to encounter for so many months afterwards... I personally am convinced that his dramatic passing gave me a boost of 'life'. I went through the eye of the needle and had to endure many torturous therapies, but I am still here and kinda ok... so thank you Chester, and Mike, Brad, Dave, Joe, Rob for being my life line in some form.

Honestly, Linkin Park are one of the very few nu metal bands who stood the test of time and were actually unique in their sound. Also, I found that many of their lyrics are MUUUUCH more relevant when you're older, as opposed to being a teen. When you're a teenager you relate to them on a very surface level, but its not untill the adult life anxiety hits you, that you actually start feeling them :D :D :D

Gillis b. There is a cure. But it's a tough one. Sadly, the only way out of such a hell hole, is pulling yourself out. In saying that, having the support around you, cheering you on, as you climb out of that hole. That is what makes a difference. But no one can cure it, but yourself. It's the dark side of depression that nobody really talks about anymore. There is no medication that will cure it, no person who will make it go away. Sadly, the only cure, is our self motivation to leave that hole.

Enemies need to be vanquished, because if they are ignored, they scheme of your demise, and no one protects your neck like you. Destroy your enemies before they get you. That is how you get peace. Through superior firepower. obviously it has to be a mental battle, because physical battles are more likely to put someone in jail. Keep yourself strong and sharp, because if you have an enemy, they will search for your weaknesses, and do their utmost to expose them. It's how this world is unfortunately.

Bethany Francia True that, especially in The Hunting Party. Sometimes I felt that it didn't seem to pack much of a punch in many places. There were some spots that did have some force in the sound, but it was inconsistent. E.g. The intro in Guilty All The Same. The piano ends up coming right after that awesome build up, rather when it should have been put in the bridge or removed. I was expected some wild guitar and drum parts after that intro.

Damn...this band was my life when i was in high school. Sadly i have terrible memories surrounding this album. I remember on the way back from the record shop with Hybrid Theory newly purchased in my pocket, i noticed people on the street stopped walking and looked up to huge screens on some buildings around Amsterdam, i remember having missed 10 calls from home, and i remember not paying any attention to any of it. What i do remember most is the moment i turned on the tv after i pressed play to listen to my new LP album...Skipping to track 3 as i was already familiar with 1 and 2, i looked up to my television screen. There i saw the 2nd plane crashing into the Twin Towers on 9/11, live...with "With you" playing on the background. I witnessed horrible things that day and felt terrible things. All accompanied by this LP album... Every time i hear that intro to "With you" i get chills running down my spine. I can see that plane wiping out thousands of lifes in slow motion time and time again. Sadly for me this whole album seems linked (funny pun?) to death and depressing things which eventually coming to a qlimax with Chester taking his own life. Fucked up when i think about it..... Noone will probably care about it, but i wanted to get it off my chest anyway.

This CD was my first purchase ever at the age of 11. I didn't think it would become such a pivotal part of my childhood. And the only reason I even got it was cause I saw my friends boombox with Hybrid Theory inside it in 03. Next day purchased it knowing literally nothing of the band. The rest is history.

My Mom and I became fans of this incredible music back in the early 2000s. She urged me to turn it up as loud as I could. All my friends were quoting lyrics as if it were scripture. Fast forward 10 years, I find myself driving around playing this for my 2 year old son. He is now 12. He says that the music has grown with him. When my oldest daughter was 17 months, she saw the Papercut video 2 weeks before Chester passed away. She now 3 and uses Linkin Park as her cleaning music. Now, my 2 year old daughter is a fan. I am so thankful that a band came along that captured the feeling everyone is afraid to talk about. They have reached each family member of mine, young and old. I hope more generations enjoy this beautiful and insightful music for years to come.

But with Chester it is something completely different - it's not like a part of me died or anything, my childhood memories listening to their awesome music will always remain, but its just the fact that I have to complete with something I didnt think I would have to complete with until I was in my mid 50s... I was fucking shocked and our next stop was at the record store and bought me this beast of an album Hybrid Theory. I first heard about the dead of Chester from my mom, she said ''This guy died, wasn't he the singer from that band you listened all the time as a kid?'' I just got chills from just thinking about it, it was a tremendous loss and a shock to be honest. R.I.P Chester, love you man.
