That's Anneke van Giersbergen, from The Gathering :). She was one of the first symphonic metal singers - she was actually there before Nightwish had become a thing :). Aaaand that's probably another rabbit hole you'll go down on if you start looking her up. Just so you know. You do have a type and I am so here for it :)

There's a reason this is called the "best duet ever." These two are just ethereal together and I love how happy they look to be performing side by side! I genuinely tear up every time I watch this and thank the gods that this whole concert was professionally recorded and put on music streamers so I can listen to it all the time. That's Anneke von Giersbergen! She was in a group called The Gathering and is another huge name in the Dutch symphonic rock/metal genre. She's only like two years older than Sharon but her music career started about 7 years earlier if I remember right, so she's kind of considered the "godmother" of this whole group that makes up her and Sharon and Nightwish and Epica. She was a big inspiration for Floor Jansen. Also, now that I've gone through every single one of your WT reactions, can I just say what a JOY it is to finally find a reactor who's currently checking them out? I find so many videos from like a year or two years ago and the reactors say they'll check them out more but there's rarely actually more videos on their channel. Which I mean, is understandable. Other things take priority and new groups can slip through cracks. But I'm so happy to find someone as excited by their music as I am and can't wait for more!

Sharon was also for a season on the Belgium show "Liefde voor muziek" (the love for music) which is a same show as the Beste zangers. She dit amazing performances but the best is "Just what I need tonight"
