Great show vid. Love the old weapons. Very nice education from the medals expert at the beginning. Trip to the mens room text too funny.😂😂 I can relate Mr. W. Biggest Whitman’s sampler I’ve ever seen. 🤯 The two SKS Damascus blade daggers, WOW!

Great video as usual. I quite enjoy how you teach us about what to look for in edged weapons. I would be really great if you could give an estimate of the value of the daggers so people can get a feel for what the market rates are.

Most museums won't buy items. They mainly take donations, and that's why smaller museums don't always have great examples.

Man, oh, man: Xmas came early for TTW with those last 2 pieces! As a thought, I think that the engraving of the upper fitting on that SA dagger rather than Gewehr is actually: "Gew(idmet) v(on) Tr(upp), etc.", or, "Given by Troop, etc." BTW, I almost got insulin shock just from looking at the Whitmann Sampler.. 🤣 Until the next time, Best, Ken

"Better than money in the bank" is right. Don't know what the Federal Reserve is doing these days but its scary. Best to have real assets like this!!
@quattrodrift33762 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me what they are doing? In Bavaria, Germany the Bank is rubbish too. Vor 1000€ on the Bank i get 1 Cent per year. But the Girobank let me pay 11% when i am in the red area of my bank. I think bank is no good place to safe your money.
@MrPatrick14142 жыл бұрын
@@quattrodrift3376 They are printing USD into oblivion, devaluing the dollar and causing inflation. Your earning power is being eroded very quickly. Think about it: if you are only getting 1% from the bank and inflation is about 7% your net earning power has been reduced 6%. This is intentionally done by governments as a stealth tax to help pay for the fall out created by the pandemic though government like to blame everything and everyone else for the price increases.
@thilgu2 жыл бұрын
Well the problem is that with these kind of assets you need to pay a good price for it. Some TR items like Metal SS cap insignias are so ridiculously expensive that you need to find someone else who is willing to break the bank if you ever plan to resell it. Who can tell that 25 years from now the hobby is still alive?
@quattrodrift33762 жыл бұрын
@@MrPatrick1414 Something in that area i read too. They have printed Billions of Dollars without any " hard money" in the back. So the price from dollars increases day to day. Some day bananas in the market will kost 500 Dollars. I hope the Usa can turn this problem. But i think you all have your money already in safe value things like Gold, Militaria or old cars. Sorry for my bad english, i had just a 3 in my 10. class at school :D
@quattrodrift33762 жыл бұрын
@@thilgu Nobody will know that, but this militaria is 80 years old and it is getting more old and less artikels are in the market. It won´t be so high priced like gold or something else, but the prices are going up since 50 years. The safest investment is not that, but maybe a good price holding dagger is batter than the bank.
