Wizard101: How I got back into Wiz and why you should too!

a bit late. but i picked up wiz again at the end of may. i was in a student research group in my colleges chemistry department during the summer and i didnt mesh well with my lab mates, so being in a dorm, by myself and without a car, made me feel very lonely. i never managed to beat dragonspyre until now. i recently maxed my first wizard and i am enjoying the new selenopolis update and working towards crafting that gear most game communities ive interacted with have been pretty toxic and awful, but that hasn't been the case with wiz. so many people are willing and available to help you out. i've just joined a guild i think i will stick with, and i'm having fun becoming part of this community too ❤

I remember even when I was a kid, I didn’t have a computer or even money when I were to use my parents computer (which didn’t happen a lot). Even when I never played the game besides up to krokotopia I would watch blaze and blues walkthroughs and always watching his videos. I miss blue hope he’s doing well🥺❤️

Once I started back in march of 2023, I would always watch how to be optimized, I remember on my death last year I had like 10 accuracy and 80 pip chance at level 140 I was so cooked

I just got back into the game myself and grinded out up to dragonspyre a couple days ago now I’m tryna finish the rest of the game!!! I’m living out my childhood dreams of beating the game and I’m gonna do just that!

I played as a kid but never got membership so it was pretty nice getting into it as an adult again and getting to experience nostalgia while also questing through worlds I never even saw as a kid. It was worth getting back into for me aswell

Same here I just started playing again and been having a blast. I think Deckbuilders are starting to gain some serious traction and Wizard 101 is a 1 of a kind when it comes to deck builder MMO.

We've been playing since 2009 and have been playing on and off since then. While the game definitely isn't perfect and I do feel like the higher ups could listen to the playerbase more, it's a game that we all have nostalgic feelings about and keep coming back to :) absolutely great video!

Hey man happy to hear it. I remember when Covid happened I was a HS senior and it got me back into the game so hard. Didn’t play it much in college but I just graduated and now I’m working on my balance in khrysalis lol. It’s certainly a grind but very rewarding. Keep up the content bro, you got a good channel and I’d love to see more.

Started playing with my sister in 2012, we used to race to the the family desktop to play after school. We both returned this summer to continue our wizards and it’s been a blast (excluding pushing through kryshalis and azteca) ! It’s been fascinating realizing how much actually goes into the game and creating an effective wizard. As a kid I couldn’t quite grasp deck building, important gear, traps, blade etc. Having that realization now has been super engaging and Ive been obsessed with improving my death wizard in any way possible and have been constantly questing. I love this game and super glad I picked it back up. Gonna go beat kryshalis today and grind darkmoor.

I got back into the game when I discovered I can finally have a seventh slot to recreate my Balance. I got back in February 2023, and Wallaru was the first world I went through on release. I only had Death as a max before then, so he was the first one to go through it. Naturally, he will be the first to go through any upcoming worlds, as he is the leader of my Wizards.

My goal: Get to Wallaru before Arc 5 starts. I quit Wizard101 halfway through Polaris, I managed to get two Wizards past Morganthe... and then came FFXIV. Now I have unsubbed from FFXIV so I have plenty of time to play Wiz and running my Balance on sub-account #2 and a newly crafted Death on sub-account #4. With Wiz coming to Consoles in 2025, I need to get back into this game.

I remember coming back to wiz back in 2018 after taking a couple years away from the game and having to restart my account spending 18 hours a day questing just to hit max lvl before i had to start school again, 6 years later Im still playing everyday and enjoy questing through the first arc.

There will be a new world coming next year, just not a main questline world by the way, but you will still need to complete it in order to continue the main questline later on. It will make sense later

I've been playing since beta on and off. I went hard as a kid/teen but took many breaks as the years went on. Been on again now for a few months helping new players out etc. I have all maxes and just end up recreating the schools out of boredom lol

I started Wizard101 back in like 2013 or 2014 when I saw it being advertised on Nickelodeon. That game looked real hype so I stole my aunt's laptop and downloaded it. Sadly around 2016, I fell for the classic "I'll give you membership with my own money" scam and got my old account deleted. Which is real painful to this day....even if I couldn't get membership or crowns. But now I made a new one in 2021 and I quested ever since. My old character was named "Marcus Thundermask"...despite being a Fire wizard lol, so I named my current Fire Wizard the same thing, but headcannoned it to be "Marcus Thundermask Jr."

I got back into wiz for actually such a dumb reason, I needed a game to play while I queued Overwatch 2. Obviously I now play a lot regardless of that but still Wiz is my favourite game to do other stuff while playing or listen to new music.

the pve is died especially when you get to the higher level worlds. Don't get me started with all of the bad mechanics of the game. Kingsisle don't know what there doing it's losing more players then ever. the only good thing they've been doing lately is doing free wizard city and kroc and membership for a weekend. This game needs to be picked up by a actual good company and stop putting so many bad bundles and micro-transactions

The game is so bad in the past we build and farm to play pvp 2v2or more not 1v1 now the pvp is so poring 1v1 is bad just spam they are no new combo for like4v4 the game now is full pve and no new mood or content and they don’t want to share the game with another region and add more language on it
