Mother brain is a real thing and only starting to be studied understood. Also, it’s super easy to make one mistake in your life and no one notices, but sometimes it ends up on the internet. Once I left my car running in. Walmart parking lot. I was in such a rush I ran in bought my things and came back out but couldn’t find my keys. Panic! I find my car…still running….unlocked. I was 23 at the time. That could have been real bad but it’s never happened before or since.

I can’t express more how grateful I am for the family that this man at least had the ability to recognise the difference of stealing a baby and stealing a car and what that would mean for himself likely first and the babies family, thank God he had a mind and heart to return the most precious thing unharmed. It’s clear he just wanted the car. I worked with some youth that had burglared a family and when the family came home half way through they freaked and I asked them what they would’ve done if the woman came round the corner and seen them and he plainly said he would’ve beat her to get out, they never went with the intention to hurt anyone physically but when it come down to achieving their purpose and also getting caught they clearly chose that hurting the other person outweighed them getting caught… so this man’s actions speaks a lot from this perspective, even though he was still committing a crime.

I almost broke down watching this. This man might be a car thief but who knows how he got to this point. Making sure this child was safe showed where his heart truly is and what kind of person he is. I think he is a dad himself. He knew there would be grandparents, parents, siblings probably, cousins, aunts, infact, a whole village who would miss this child if anything happened to him. That same car model can be replaced, that 5-month-old wouldn't if the man didn't have a heart.
