Eugene Vicknair Thank You!!! I am 20 years old and heavily into Rock Bands whenever I look at the comments for the songs I love mostly they say ‘no one makes good music like they use to’ ‘back in my day we had top tunes’ ‘these kids today know nothing about music’ and I’m sick of it admittedly yes Rock Music probably needs a shake up but that shake up will come for now we have great underrated rock bands like Wolf Alice was lucky to see them in 2018 at The Eithad Stadium in Manchester with the Foo Fighters, That was where I first heard of them.

Less pathos

Could I belong here? The vibes are kinda strong here The vibes are kinda wrong here Scared to know just what goes on here Some guy has taken me into his garden It seems to be some kind of mountain I'm socially anxious and a long way from home I've only just learnt my margarita from mojito, so Could I belong here? The vibes are kinda strong here Ask me if I'm from here and I won't say no I won't say no, I'll give it a go I won't say no, I'll give it a Shot for the spot at the top, a girl like mе Would you believe I'm in Los Angеles? This guy asks me where my home is, I say, "I don't know, it's Probably where the boy I love and left all on his own is" He rolls his eyes and cuts a selfish line of blow He was here for one thing, if he can't get it then he'll go, but I don't care, I'm in the Hollywood Hills I'm no longer pulling pints, I'm no longer cashing tills And I'm alive, I feel like Marilyn Monroe If you're all poppin' pills, you know I won't say no I won't say no, I'll give it a go I won't say no, I'll give it a Shot for the spot at the top, a girl like me Would you believe I'm in Los Angeles? It's just me, I felt like calling" I won't say no, I'll give it a go I won't say no, I'll give it a Shot for the spot at the top, a girl like me Would you believe I'm in Los Angeles? I am new to the Wolf Alice 'universe', and really grateful I finally found the band (WTF took me so long!?). I am playing this song on endless repeat. I find some songs just reach a level of -- is perfection too strong a word? The lyrics tell a story that so encapsulates a time and place, the way Ellie's vocals bring the song to life, and the music which is so perfectly developed to support the story. So very glad to have finally discovered this band.

This song is cold winter days and everything I love about it. People in the city always seem to be closer, nicer, warmer and more serene during these times. As I walk through the city and drink an overpriced cup of hot chocolate, I would shiver, hide in my scarf and listen to this song. But during winter I hang my fairy lights, decorate my tree, meet new people, sing slightly familiar songs in warm bars while the night sky is freezing. The city becomes magical, I smile at strangers, meet the nicest of people. This song is like falling in love with life all over again. Thank you, Wolf Alice
