Couldn’t have said it better myself. Even though there’s a fairly large gap between me and my brother there’s something about that relationship that goes above any other. All the things we’ve gone through and all the times we’ve fought for or against each other. Call your brothers today lads!

I always like to think Corvus designed those bladed jump pack wings out of pure respect and envy for his angel brother, just wanted to be a shadow at his side. They are iconic, was sad HH didn't give the Ravenlord's jump pack a backstory like so much Primarch gear covered in the novels.

@@ArnoldJudasRimmer.. When you think about it, it was Corvus who was the first Primarch to say "F*ck that bald c*nt Horus, never again!(paraphrase)" after Gate 42 and, well, Sanguinius always figured it would be Horus who did him in. #BroHatinHorusBeforeItTrendy

Sanguinius and Dorn are my two favorite Primarchs for one reason. Off all the Primarchs, they had the best understanding of what The Great Crusade meant to Big E. Dorn saw the macrocosm of it's affect on humanity as a whole. While Sanguinius saw the microcosm and how it would affect each human individually. This is why despite having opposite personalities, the both shared a mutual love and respect for each other.

No more need be said, done, or depicted. Perfect ending to a brother marked for death, and a brother convinced he war marked for death. A brother who knew, and a brother who speculated each end. Sanguinius' remarks remind me of my Grandather the day before his passing: a knowledge that he needed to remind me I had moved enough mountains, that I could rest knowing I had done more than enough. And in the end he loved me all the more.

From this and all I read and heard.. in a way Sanguinius seems to be the most empathetic and despite his rage the most emotionally competent Primarch.. which is why he always was and always will be my favourite WH40K character. With Ciaphas being a very close second place :D

Since Sanguinius seems to be the only being that can squeeze any positive emotion out of Dorn (sorry for the friendly fire, Garro), are we sure Dorn is actually missing? Maybe he just turned into a marble pillar when his emo-bro went tits up. Maybe he’s been sitting in the throne room the whole time, just sulking.

Rogal would have rather died then see the room on the vengeful spirit. Horus actually did it, he broke the unbreakable. His father dead, the soul of the imperium dead and it’s greatest general dead. Then Gilliman took the only thing Dorn had left, it’s no surprise Dorn went to commit suicide by chain sword.

Most of the contents of the 3 books was top notch, however no Black Rage was a huge misstep and the Sanguinius vs. Horus fight read more like murder/gore porn than an actual fight. Seems like Dan had some issues to get out rather than right as well as he can.
@Kristian.B.Kristiansen4 ай бұрын
That final duel was Perfection. Sanguinius had achieved too much and been given too many insane feats. There had to be a cost. Horus beating him like a dog was that cost.
@Knights_Oath4 ай бұрын
The Horus v. Sanguinius fight was written in the second person. The point was The Chaos Gods had to take over for Horus to slay Sanguinius. Not only for the power boost, but Horus would have held back, do to his love and respect for Sanguinius.
@Kristian.B.Kristiansen4 ай бұрын
@@Knights_Oath That is a bit unsound. Chaos isn't holding Horus's hand, the manipulation is more subtle than that. Horus Lupercal is still very much in there. The final Emperor win entirely depends on that fact.

I wish I could get sucked back into the greatness of 40k but the sad fact is that once they finished the Horus Heresy, all that is left is the sad, disjointed, non nonsensical, and SLOOOOWLY released 41k story line. You know, Octarius having absolutely ZERO impact. The Lions return novel being totally nullified a year later by a Codex making me question why I even bother buying novels if they are not cannon. Who thinks that any part of the Vaults of Terror story line matters in the smallest way? It is hard to give 2 fks about 40k lore when it is just ridiculous once you get past the Heresy.
