When the singing comes in, this immediately comes in my head: A beautiful women with a white flowing dress and with long white hair is somewhere in the woods. And she knows that the wolves are out running, so she sings a song about, well, running with the wolves. Kind of like a lullaby, she’s singing out to the wolves and her voice is heard far and wide. You see a lot of media where people turn into animals, but you only ever hear their own voices coming out of their animal forms. Honestly this movie was so good. The way they blended semi-realistic wolf sounds into the movements, how the wolves actually move in realistic ways (for example when Robin goes to splash the water she rears up, splaying her forelegs out straight and then lands to make the splash. She doesn’t just do a small hop) it’s so good!

I actually know this song by heart, and funnily enough the feel changes without the instrumental. With the background music it feels like a war cry, someone finally casting off their chains and running free. This version really makes you take more in consideration what's happening on scene, personally I felt more emotionally attached to this version than to the instrumental one. This song honestly gets better the more you strip it down. The original version is good, but then the movie version made it even better by removing a lot of the pop electronic effects, and then you took out all the instrumentals and it surprisingly feels even more emotional. Just goes to show how amazing of a singer AURORA is to be able to hold up without instrumentals. I also love how you can hear all the sound effects now that the instrumentals are out. It makes this feel a lot more intimate and immersive like I'm there with them. I understand why they used the instrumentals, and it definitely works in the movie really well, but I'm also glad you did this so I could find a new appreciation for the sound engineers of this film.
