Woman Adopts Over 600 Stray Cats

Rachael Kabue cherishes cats so much, her home in Kenya has become a sanctuary for over 600 of them! In 2020, Kabue created the Nairobi Feline Sanctuary, taking in sick and homeless cats. She provides veterinary care for her adopted fur babies, then puts them up for adoption to good homes. Despite spending an extra $400 per month of her own money to keep the Feline Sanctuary going, she says the only thing that will stop her from rescuing more is having too little space.

You should do the math, $400 exchange rate to Kenyan shilling is 49,784 this is monthly mind you. Now the average person living there makes 1,244 Kenyan shillings a month that exchanges for $10 US so she is paying per month the salary of 1 employee for 3 and 1/4 years or 40 peoples monthly salary. This isn’t a cat sanctuary it’s a food farm

Yes we have all except two of our fourteen cats operated on but we have the others the two to be scheduled and I can definitely identify wasn't planned that way for years we only had one cat and then my ex boyfriend he brought house in a while take a few kittens and next thing you know in a few Strays came and next thing you know what we ballooned out with this many and we've had several be adopted and so we're not we're not looking at anymore we're finished with our cat family

@@batacumba I have 4 kitties(was 5 I just lost the momma cat, who was a stray~to breast cancer.. snip/fix your cats everyone!!)anyways, we have just 1 litterbox but it's recommended to have 1 or 2 per cat. My old boy uses potty pads so that extracts one cat from using. Also.. the cats bills just having 5 for me, at one point, were astronomical.. but one of my kitties has epilepsy, the old one diabetes. It's a lot lol.

I took care of 13 stray kittens for 6 months. It is alot of work, time and money . Was one of the best Summers iv ever had .I miss them all . They went to A NO KILL SHELTER . Adopted in to loving homes . I MISS those little rascals. To me this WOMEN IS A GOD !!!
