What a lovely home! So nice and cozy. Thanks for giving some insight on the adjustments and decisions you made and did. I believe that the reason you don’t have humidity issues is because it’s just you, you shower at work, do laundry at your brothers and don’t cook much. All these factors keep your moisture down.

Tiny houses are NOT the problem . THEY are easy . WHERE to put them is the REAL problem . THAT is a real problem .Two people can easily fit in a tiny house . The location of it is really ,make or break . . Tiny houses always seem to be in the middle of nowhere .MOST people in tiny houses are not quite as independent as people think . They tend to use relatives and friends resources a fair amount to enable their tiny house living.. Still ,good luck to them .
@mytinybeachhouse24475 жыл бұрын
I agree, WHERE to put them is a big issue, but more and more places are allowing them so that's good. I can only speak for me, but I've been using the resources of relatives and friends well BEFORE I was tiny. Even so, many tiny houses are out in the middle of nowhere because they're not quite legal, but do still very much enjoy the company of relatives and family. Just because they may live in semi-isolation, doesn't mean they want to be isolated!
@illbeyourstumbleine5 жыл бұрын
I just watched a build outside Colorado Springs that was on the side of a hill. He bought the land very cheap because any normal house couldn't be built there. Dug out just enough of the side to place his house on and built an off grid tiny home. With housing prices and land prices so high in that area what a genius idea!
@Just-Nikki5 жыл бұрын
Annie Dayton, MSN, RN it’s also better than moving BACK IN with relatives due to cost of living, divorce, etc. We’re currently looking for land to homestead and my adult daughter will have a tiny house on the property but she will help on the homestead and that’s a fair trade in our eyes. Most of us want to help family members succeed and especially if you’re compensating them as you are it can benefit your family as well. I wish you a fulfilled life, Namaste 🙏🏼

MOST people in LARGE houses are not quite as independent as people think . They tend to use relatives and friends resources a fair amount to enable their OVERSIZED house living, and they're often crowded together, with no land around them.

Now this is a tiny house I could get behind. I mean, less than 100sqft is just crazy. This is nice size, there is a great open floor plan, pretty lofts, lots of storage, room for a full size couch, and you could even have dog. The only thing I would want would be a dedicated cooktop, 2 or 3 burner stove, and a microwave.

I just realized after watching several tiny houses, how important it is to really invest on land. I don't think living in a tiny but renting a piece of land to put it up will never give you a debt-free life. That's why it made me realize how blessed we are back in the Philippines where everyone's goal is to own a house built in our own land. Renting a place and land to live in for the rest of our lives is never in our long term goal.
@mytinybeachhouse24474 жыл бұрын
I can see your point and one day when they are all finally legal we will own land too. But the amount we pay to rent the land to park it on is still much cheaper than the property taxes a traditional homeowner has to pay regardless if they own their house outright or still have a mortgage on it. They will always pay property taxes ever year too.

Really like this. Thank you for adding the practical points like the skirting with vents and the stairs. My retirement plan definitely includes a tiny house. When my cousin’s health became compromised in her 40’s..her dad, who had been in the construction business, built a tiny house on their property...about an acre and a half in a neighborhood..so she lived there comfortably and as her parents aged, she was able to take care of them... now she lives with her little dog in their house...the little house has become more of a storage house...but with a little work it could be rented out...she just doesn’t want to..her parents old house is small also..about 800 square feet..

I really appreciate the design of the house especially how the kitchen and the bedroom are on opposite ends. In many of the designs, they have the loft above the kitchen w/the stairwell to the loft over the kitchen counters. I don't like that; it makes think that if the feet are dirty, then dirt particles could drop to the counter. Ick! Nice vid. :)
