The idiot that murdered Florida highway patrol officer Jeffery Young and graduate of the Manatee county police academy trained by both the sheriff's office and Bradenton police department actually very close to here was laid to rest right where these attempted murders occured , in addition it is coming up on his date of death as well while serving others. His killer who murdered him in 1987 again at the same location as this family was shot was sentenced to death and is still in prison today. It is a shame from 1987 to 2024 inmates get to live that long when sentenced to death all on tax payers dollars, just saying. I do not believe his killer will ever face his punishment and believe he will die naturally. In Florida also not always but often 1 murder of a civilian will always lead upon conviction of life behind bars with no chance of parole guaranteed at the bare minimum. Two murders of civilians is a hand toss in court after conviction of either life in prison without the possibility of parole and or a death sentence imposed. Three murders of civilians is a guaranteed death sentence upon conviction. It is just a shame that situations like this do not all end up in a death sentence civilian and or law enforcement officers alike when situations arise and there should also be a minimum to maximum time frame allowed for such criminals to pay their obligations to the states passed down to them by the courts.
