Children and grown children of hoarders actually age quicker if they are forced to live in the mess. It does take a toll on your health.......I am a grown daughter of a hoarder and even though I have my own place I have had to 'take care' of numerous hoards of a parent. One time they hired 3 different storage units over the years and could no longer afford the bills so I had to donate, sort, put in the rubbish 3 very, very full garage size storage units and it took a toll on my health.This is just ONE example but there are many. ......Hoarders don't realize their childrens' health suffers in different ways because of their hoarding.

@ I didn’t mean anything related to the hoarding, but just that they literally look nearly the same to each other. 🙈 So sorry you grew up like that. ❤️

I'm sorry this sounds cruel and unsympathetic but pets do not deserve to be "cared" for by people who cannot do the bare minimum cleaning. If you can't be bothered to even change the kitty litter why do you have a cat? You can't even be bothered to wash the bowls and plates you eat from. Pets are at the mercy of people and can't choose their owners, it always makes me so sad.

There are definitely both mental and physical aberrancies in those two women. Not being unkind, just stating the obvious. And why...why, why, why??!!...do people who are incapable of caring for themselves insist on having any animals at all?? It's cruel to the animals, it's expensive for people who can't afford them, and they shouldn't be allowed to have even so much as a pet mouse!

I find watching these hoarder shows these houses seriously lack proper storage. The bedroom clothes closets are usually only able to accommodate about 3vfeet of hanging clothes, if people would decide how many clothes they absolutely need have a clothes closet built to accommodate all the hanging clothes so they are not stacked in piles all over the place. A serious crafter needs either a shelf with many bins to accommodate craft supplies or a big enough dresser with multiple drawers to accommodate all the supplies. I have a very neat house with proper storage for all my belongings which are not an unreasonable amount, and then you have to be consistent to put everything away after using it. I think these are more important for people to do before they tackle the hoard or it will become a hoarder house once again.
@TheDragonA6429 күн бұрын
Totally agree with you. They never have enough storage. In my home I have a storage units for 3 families, everything is neat, in place, and labeled. Donating makes a huge roll in keeping reasonable amount of stuff, as well. 🙃

Same here, I have a small house but I throw out anything I don't need; my home is tidy, neat and clutter free. The majority of homes in the UK are pretty small compared to Australia and the US.

it is hard enough when we lose one person we love, but when a number of people we love die over a short period of time, it becomes overwhelming. my condolences for your loss ladies. i think the daughter did a wonderful job, helping her mother let go. i was wondering if there was a possibility to get a person from a cat center, to visit, and provide a few ideas, a routine/roster for caring for their beloved comfort cat, and a grief counsellor. thankyou ladies for having the courage to share your experience. ✨🕯🕯🧶🪡🌱

There's a definite mental deficiency in both of them---appears to be the same one---and that could very easily account for allowing such messiness. Sometimes, in some people, the brain simply doesn't see what's in front of it (the eyes don't recognize anything wrong), and there's no connection between "This is something I need to clean up now," and the brain's ability to tell the body to get busy.
