I’m honestly surprised that people enjoy this film. The quality from the 1st movie compared to 84 is comical. None of her effects look good, the 3 action scenes suck, I thought Cheetah was terrible.This for sure is at the bottom of the DC list for me.

I was amazed Nick defended this movie in ANY form. “Centered” around the arms race? If you mean a small segment at the end, then yea centered. Not a jumbled mess? Modeling it after a show isn’t a plot or story. I love ya Nick, but your good movie radar was off for this one.

I was confused at how the final renouncing of the wishes worked and thought everyone did in fact renounce their wish because its a comic book movie and leaps in logics like that happen all the time. But I've seen more discussion about it and its not that everyone renounced their wish (woman who died couldn't renounce hers because she's dead) but all the wishes went back once Maxwell renounced his. And also Cheetah wished before Maxwell did so its possible that she still has Wonder Woman's powers.

Haven't watched this video yet, but I will guess some things in advance: - Everyone really dislikes this movie, but Nick will play devils advocate to create a somewhat interesting discussion. - They will spend a big chunk of the time making fun of how terrible the mall scene was and how weird the body swap concept is. - Greg and Kev will laugh like maniacs at some point of the discussion - Nick will mention at least one of those terrible wigs Edit: I actually kinda nailed it :D

1:45:30 Greg you're also a DC fan so I'm giving you some leeway. Wonder woman never had a no kill rule, nor did Superman. Zod's death was just a climax of an already overly violent movie and it seemed like there were multiple ways to avoid it, which is the problem since Superman always finds another way(All star superman). Wonder woman has always been someone willing to kill if necessary. Point is don't provide misinformation about DC, it already has bad rep despite being the greatest thing ever.

100% Wonder Woman 84 was really bad. I think they really need to look at who is responsible for these properties in the DC Universe. It's not good on a lot of fronts and it could have been SO GOOD if it was done right. I don't know if Snyder is the problem or upper management, but it really needs to be fixed in order for DC movies to survive going forward.

The music Tim mentions is from Eternal Sunshine is actually from the Danny Boyle film Sunshine. The song is Adagio in D Minor and is so memorable in Sunshine that I laughed out loud when it was on the Diana flying scene. Liked that they brought it up; totally agree with Freddie Wong's take.

This movie was terrible man. 😂 The first one was trash. Everything about it was horrible except Gal Gadot...but at least she was good in that one. Between the complete breaking of the logic the film sets up with the multiple wishes and the rape it's a whole cringe fest.

I'm sure it's been said but they very subtly allude to lassoing projectiles. Before the marathon earlier in the movie where Steve would not have been to even know she could do that. Only Diana and the keen eyed would have known. Not great story telling...

Tim noted that the track 'A Beautiful Lie' from the start of BvS was used in this near the end. The use of it actually really worked for me, but some people really disliked it or were confused from it. Just thought that was interesting. Anyways this movie has some good things like it's visuals, but it's plot and a lot of the performances are a mess...

I think Kristen Wiig was really miscast in this movie. I just couldn't buy her as a villain. The overall story was kind of nonsense and I think they retread old ground quite a bit except this time Chris Pine was a fish out of water. The opening section in themyscira also didn't connect very well with the rest of the movie but it was fun. The best parts for me were Gal Gadot and Pedro Pascal. They didn't have much to work with but they always give a great performance :)

When they mentioned the evil demon person who enchanted the rock THAT should have been the villain at the end and shows that the reason lord is deteriorating and shit. Lord helps overpower him at the end and take back control to renounce his wish and that undos everything back to before the rock and only Diana and Lord knows what really happened.

I'm super curious to see their opinions. Seems like a lot of mixed opinions on the web. Seen the movie twice. First time barely could hear it on TV speakers. Second time I liked better cause I could actually hear it but it sure as hell didn't need to be 2 and a half hours. The more I think about it, there was just so much potential that didn't happen. There is more plot holes than Swiss cheese. I feel like just like the 2017 Wonder Woman, I'll like it less the longer it's out.

The movie tried to downplay the guy Steve Quantum Leap hijacked, by implying he was narcissistic since he has a lot of pictures of himself at his place. So that was enough of an excuse for them to run rampant with his body, by establishing him not having a significant other/being a family man.

So just did a quick Google search. A normal fighter jet can go about 500 miles without refueling. The distance to New York to Cairo is 5,600 miles (rounding to make the numbers a little neater). So that's a little more than 11 times the distance that the jet could fly... 😂

Even though WW84 isn’t very good I still enjoyed it more than the first lol. Yes the first has less wtf questions but the first movie was so goddamn boring and was basically a clone of Thor 1 and Cap 1 and then had a terrible third act with Ares lol and the overuse of slow mo. One thing I’m hopeful about with people picking this movie apart is that they go back to the first movie and finally realize calling it good was dumb as fuck and people just had their blinders on because WW was the first competent female superhero film made which is the the worst logic for calling a movie good. I’m literally with Andy, even though I saw the good reviews I didn’t believe them because the first movie reviews lied to me haha. So I just watched it not trusting those reviews. RT also lost lots of credibility because they certified the movie fresh off of the initial reviews which is so dumb. The movie literally has gone from certified fresh on Christmas Day to rotten 2 weeks later 😂

I love the DCEU movies, but this was such a disappointing movie. It may be the worst of the DCEU movies, I can't think of anything I like in the movie. The action scenes were flat and not enough, the villains were uninteresting and didn't feel like any threat to WW.

It seemed to me like during the race at the beginning that Diana is so far ahead of the rest of the pack that she's taking the proper path and they only show the other ones struggling. What messed me up about that scene was that if you watch it carefully, she takes absolutely no short cuts at all, SMH, sure, she fell off the horse and took that slide, but the horse still took the race path. Had she stayed on the horse she would been there at the exact same time anyway. So to me it felt like they were just punishing her for thinking outside the box. I didn't like that or the very Black Panther inspired music during that scene. Very cringy.

Question: in the mall scene why did Wonder Woman capture the thieves, but didn't have the manager of the jewelry store who was dealing in black market goods arrested? She used the lasso on the dude who tells her why they're there, but he doesn't mention that they're stealing black market stuff from the jewelry store? Make it make sense.

I watched WW84 before seeing the first Wonder Woman and I enjoyed it cause Ive never seen a Wonder Woman movie. But when I watched Wonder Woman Part 1 and wowwwwww WW84 is so bad compared to part 1.
