Holsters are very much a personal preference. I couldn't fathom the lie that any "best" holster video would be. For my comfort threshold, carry position, clothing and body style Crossbreed has been the best for daily carry. The one tip I have on them is that the Founder's leather is worth the upgrade.

I used to carry one as a PPW as an off duty soldier, in Northern Ireland. We were trained to cock the gun using the edge of the pocket , if needed to return fire fast, they were issued to The off duty Royal Irish Soldiers both Part time or full time who were under very heavy threat if being shot

Great review! The Walther P5 is a direct descendant of the Walther P38, P1, and P4 Pistols. Note that they all eject to the left. Currently, I have three P38's, one WWII and two post war pre-P1 P38's along with a PPK/S .380 and a P99AS. Would love to add a P4 and P5 to my collection. Considering getting a PPQ.

The aesthetics of the P5 are just absolutely incredible - I'm in love with it's looks... Are you an officer in Germany? When I was in Deutschland (2017 Köln and München) I saw several police officers with P99 pistols. It was awesome to see police carrying it - I love the design and I own one here in the USA - but police here unfortunately don't carry them much.

I had that gun during my police days in amsterdam. Bit heavy but accurate. Especially in single action it is easy. Double action is rather heavy on the trigger exposing any flaws in shooting technique. We used the action 3 rounds. A hollowpoint with a green plastic tip. In the round is a small hole that via the gas of the explosion lets the green tip front run the bullit. The green tip was to prefect feeding mall functions. For working on the street it has some nice safety features. The heavy double action helps to prevent accidental discharges. The fall safety is the same. And if the barrel gets pushed in it will not fire. And another bonus is that if you run out of ammo its heavy enough you could trow it at a suspect and still win the fight 😁

I bought mine from Souther Ohio Gun suppliers when I worked at a gun store in Miami in 2005. It was an ex W. German police pistol and came with 2 mags, one leather single mag holder with snap and the original police holster with a double snap flap over gun which swiveled so the holstered gun would be down while standing and swivel back when sitting in police car. It was.overall in used but almost unfired condition. Loved it so, so much and carried only sometimes believing if something would occur, ( self defence) It would be taken from me for investigation and never seen again. I lost it anyway when arrested in 2011 and useless ex girlfriend and her despicable family took it and many others from my collection and possibly sold them for next to nothing. Some people deserve every bit of bad that ever happens to them, because bad people deserve only bad things.
