This wood name in Vietnamese is "Gỏ". They're very solid and heavy. They last decades. It was my maternal grandma favorite kind of wood. She had so many furniture's made of this wood. She gave my mom many of them. But there was one kind of wood name "Mun", it's name mean "dark black." This wood is even heavier than "Gỏ". My grandma had her casket made in advance more than 40 years before her death. It was put up in the second floor of her big house on stands. My mom had to call people to come replacing those stands many times because of their rot. The story was told that wood would last forever on the ground. Few cases were reported that after over 100 years underground, they were found their condition were just like new when brought up to the surface. The area is in Mekong river Delta it's under water many months a year. so, most of woods would be rotten in few years . Viet Nam is a tropical place; it is hot and humid all year round. But even in summer, I love to lay down on it, because it was so cool all the time! That was the extraordinary kind of bed with the size 2m long x 3m wide x 15cm thick ̣̣(odd size for super rich folks.) We afternoon napped there every day. But at night, we had to put something under to keep us from coldness that came up from this wood ! It's hard to find them today anywhere!

Lot of smuggling and mafia and politics and unscruplous operators there with local tribal populations in the mix. The wood is mostly harvested for exports and the japanese pay huge price for it for the buddhist temples and shrines in jappan and even china use this kind of red wood to build their shrines. Very sought after. If you are a rich westerner you maybe able to get your hands on it too. This is Christ's question Mathew 15: 3: "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" A women say "the Husband has no name". Another ones say "the Husband has many names". Some of women "love the Husband in all his manifestations" like: neighbour, taxi driver, coworker... But, all of those prostitutes say "the Husband is the only". Then they even talk about "trinity of the Husband" and they are not against "the Son taking the Husband's place". In the same way religious prostitutes try to hide their disgusting fornication with different gods. Here is the God's word spoken through Moses, Deuteronomy 11: 16-17: "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you." So, the God says there are other gods, but blind leaders of blind lead people into trap. "Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for. "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah). Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers feel so good while righteous people are persecuted. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

In South America there is a tree called bloodwood; in Asia, it's probably padauk. Both are very dense, heavy, and hard to work with. Both are bright red when fresh cut and then darken over time to a reddish brown. I have a small carved figure that seems to be South American in design; it's a nice brown color, but if you're looking for a stunningly red color in a finished item, use dye or stain on a more budget-friendly wood like cherry or maple. It's _incredibly_ heavy, too, which will be a consideration depending on what you want to use it for. Both woods are also very hard on tools; they will ruin even large saw blades like these. You would not be able to easily lathe turn or scroll these woods.
