Hello I began carving with just a knife in 2019 by following Doug Linker. It has been such a fun and rewarding hobby in my retirement. My old hands get really sore holding knives and gouges. That is where you came in. Power carving with a Dremel and flexshaft allows me to continue my hobby when my hands need a break. You are a great teacher. I just wish you would post templates or sources for templates or layout instructions, along with whichever carving you are showing. You have demonstrated some wonderful carvings however some of us are not as artistic to draw out the figures without help. Keep upnthe great work and inspiration.Thanks 😊

Hey bud, general woodworker here, in the future, if you want a resist, I would try some shellac, that should do a pretty good job at it (it's used as a wood sealer, or as a finish dependant upon how it's applied)

Great work fellow creator/maker. I would honestly expect this level of quality carving from a guy using a $400 hand set. Well done. I hope to afford one some life time 🤩🍻

Mat have you ever used paper shopping bags as an ultra fine abrasive to polish with ? They work pretty well if you can find them .

Also, which hammer would you recommend for this project? And which tomahawk do you use for those projects?
@CorneliusCreations Жыл бұрын
I would recommend the cheapest hammer you can find. The tomahawks are from american tomahawk company.

Instead of a sander with no vacuum on it why don't you try a scraper you'd be surprised how easy it is to clean that would off right up to the steel 100 can you smooth out the handle one so much better! A little 400 what's 600 1000 or 1200 all you need is a good wax to finish the handle!
